She is a mixed-breed, small dog ... and is quite cute. She has a white, heart-shaped mark on her forehead. She is bouncy and friendly.

I've had her for one week and I'm using a dog crate. The other day she just started growling and chewing on things that are no no's. Spending a lot of time just getting her used to the crate. She whines a lot, but doesn't bark that much. She only weighs 2lbs 3oz.

Im just curious if they have this dog smell that you get when you pet some other dogs. I would assume not but its just a question that popped in to my head before getting one.

6 month old female pitbull, has to be spayed and will already be under sedation.
She still has her dew claws that grow very fast and close to the pad, as a groomer I have seen the damage they can cause if left, but I also trim my fur babies nails 2x a week, so to remove or not?
Tail, and I am not talking for looks but for health and safety reasons. She has "happy tail" and has already left welps on my legs, we are working on her having to sit at our feet but she is still a baby and does stand up every so often b/c she just gets so excited . Also she has already had to have a light sedation to have a hemotoma drained where she has wagged so hard so fast. I do not want to have to continue sedation, however light, to have these removed.
I am just weighing the pros and cons, and would like other opinions.
She is newly adopted (yesterday) and yes I know good trainig is the key to a great pet, esp one as stereo typed as a pit.
I thank all in advance.

I Have 3 Italian greyhounds 1 female 8yrs 1 male 9yrs and a 7 month old male puppy which I had since he was 8 weeks old . The last 6 weeks or so he has been very aggresive toward my 9 year old male . So I did get him neutered 2 weeks ago. The other night he attacked him and cut his paw and he needed stiches . Then today he started again and I broke it up but he bit me on my hands and he will growl at me when I am breaking it up . My older dog is not aggressive he is very sweet . The puppy wont mess with the female just the male.
Any suggestion I would apprieciate .
Thanks Pinkdiamond

I have a pure bred German Shepherd who is now 4.5 months old. Gunner is his name, I purchased him on a non-breeding contract, but plan on titling hime, and showing too, then I might breed him....not sure yet. He is registered with the CKC with a 5 generation pedigree, and a health guarantee till 24 months. He is German Line bred into American lines....he has German Working lines in his pedigree. His one left ear was tattooed and hasn't made any attempt to stand yet....meanwhile his other ear is up. I taped it, and when it is removed it stands halfway then goes back down. I need some advise on what method of taping works. Below are pics of him at 4 months, 7 and 9 weeks old. Serious answers only please...

We have fenced off the side of my house so that my dog "can't" reach the trash bin and manage to drag some out. Yet, she still managed to...she's a very nervous dog, so I'm worried that she'll go insane if I do anything more than I have (tried to correct fencing, picked up a piece of the trash, and firmly said "no")but if she continues, she may get sick from the trash...What more can I do?

I had my Pit Bull's ears cropped on March 1st (2 weeks ago), and he had to wear an E-collar for one week until the stitches got removed. I went to Petsmart and had an associate try one on him, and they picked out a large one and said it fit fine. Well, after his surgery, the collar rested on one of his ears because he kept moving the collar. When we removed it last week (9th of March), one of his ears were leaning from where the collar rested. How do I fix this problem, or will it correct itself. One ear sticks up perfect, and the other appears to look like it's leaning against the base of his skull almost. I can send a picture if needed.

Would you care to tell us why?
I love German Shepherds and Boxers--and mid-sized to large dogs in general. But all dogs are just great.

I have a bullmastiff/pitbull puppy mix and she is tearing EVERYTHING apart, how do I train her not to? I have a sherpei/pittbull mix and she is 5 yrs old and she never had any problems with this kind of stuff. We just told her no adn all the regular stuff, bit I am at a loss with this puppy. It's not like I have never had or trained a puppy before but this one is not responding to the things I did with my other dog. Anyone have any advice or suggestions I would really love to hear from you, before she eats my other couch.

What is better for your dog, sterilized bones that your can buy at Pet Smart, or a raw knuckle bone from the butcher.

If you get a raw bone is it better to boil it for several minutes before you give it to the dog or let her chew on it raw?

I'm wondering if cooked or sterilized bones are harder on the teeth? Could they wear down the dogs teeth?

Also I'm concerned that the sterilized bones have chemicals in them since they look so white.

I have been giving my dog Nylabones and wonder if it would be better to just stick with that kind of bone?

Baby girl is a year and a half old female pit/springer. We try very hard to keep things away from her, but she has learned how to open cabinets, (clawing) doors, (banging), she eats wood, not just chews, eats. I have no couches, table, or chairs that are not gnawed through. She eats cough drops, how she got them I don't know, they were on top of the refrigerator. I came home from work and she had two boxes of pop tarts gone, including the wrappers. She eats disposable razors, leather jackets,(okay, I get that one), soap, lotion, I got her giant rawhide bones, they were gone in one afternoon. She had sheets of rawhide coming out of both ends. A cow femur lasted exactly 4 hours. I put her in the bathroom one day, with her dishes and her favorite blanket, some toys, and went to the store. I came home, she had eaten the wood moldings and gnawed four holes in the walls, her toys weren't touched. She is going to kill herself with the stuff she eats. I know she's bored, help!
