VET VET VET VET VET. Take him now. Since they're probably closed right now call the office # and most vets have an emergency # listed on their message. If your regular vet doesn't have one get out the phone book, look up vets, and start at the top. When you get an emergency #, it will probably be a pager or will tell you to leave a message. Say that it is an EXTREME emergency, your dog is puking blood, and you need him to be seen right away. From experience I will tell you that if it's a pager, call about 3 times one after the other and if you don't receive a call back within 7 mins call the next vet office. It sounds crazy, but your dog is PUKING BLOOD. What would you do if it was your child or yourself? Hurry! & good luck.

Take it to your local ER Vet NOW!!!!
Let me ask you something, and maybe you just did not know:

If you have a child, and that child was vomiting blood, would you not leap in to action and not even question what you ought to do to help your child??

Dogs cannot tell us what is wrong. Maybe your dog simply chewed or ate something foreign. That could mean nothing, or it could mean pain which could lead to a larger problem.

Please take your dog to the Vet and quit asking Yahoo Answers people for advice.

Yahoo Answers should REALLY have a disclaimer like,"YA should only serve as an extra educational tool, NOT the replacer of professional knowledge from your Veterinarian or Doctor."

Can we please get that in here, Yahoo??

Blood is always a very bad sign, whether it's from the bowel, the urine, or throwing up. Your dog could be bleeding internally, and really needs to be seen by a veterinarian, immediately. Please don't wait to take your dog in.

Take him to the VET immediately. Most cities have a animal hospital that is open 24/7.

Take that dog to an emergency vet right now. This is a very big deal and if you don't you may not have a live dog in the morning. Go go now!!!!!! It could be poisoned, it could have swallowed something sharp(needle glass bone rock you name it) it could be heartworms and it is already too late the heart has exploded. Get that dog to a vet now. good luck -k-

Take it to the all night Vet as it won't be alive in the morning. It needs IV at the least.
