negative ringworm culture, had Revolution, slightly itchy and has NOT spread to the other 4, lymph nodes NOT swollen, I'm finding new spots every few days. Puppy is healthy otherwise. Is on antibiotic x1wk and anitfungal x4wks oral meds. Cannot find anything that fits this skin disease since she had it at 1wk. old and it's not spreading to the others,only on her. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

The pup has seen 2 Vets and they are perplexed.2 skin scrapings showed NO mites (mange),but we treated with the Revolution anyways.Strangles usually presents with enlarged lymph nodes and hers are not. The meds are for fungus and underlying infection,but negative ringworm culture.Anyone with info on lupus? yeast? zinc deficiency? hormone problems? The pup WAS born with a deformity at the end of her tail, so possibly she has internal deformities also causing her skin condition. she's playful & healthy otherwise.we are checking into epidermal dysplasia. please help.thanks

All I feed him is dry peebles. He craps about 7-8 times a day. No exaggeration. He is about 3 months old.

We adopted a pit today to add to our family and I am looking into what will be the best thing to walk the new fur baby with. Being a Greyhound owner I am very fond of a martingale collar, I HATE choke collars so do not even mention them. But I was wondering if any other pit owners have a favorite harness, collar or like that they use.

My dog just come home today from having a bottle cap taken out of his belly. The area around his stitches are red and I can tell they itch him. The vet put him on a pain pill and an anti-inflamatory. Will giving him Benadryl be too much ontop of the other meds?

My 3 year old pom was diagnosed with kidney faliure friday and I have had ultrasounds, x- rays and blood tests. I know we dont have long but I am scared I wont know when the time is right to take her to go to heaven. Anyone whose dog has died from kidney faliure- when did you know when the time was right? What was your sign that it was time to have them put to sleep- I DON'T WANT HER TO SUFFER. I am scared, I am sad and I need help. Please.

How can I help my dog's hips and joints? She has a hard time getting on and off the bed and getting up when she's been laying down for awhile. We had been giving Glucosamine/Condroitin, and she was doing fine, so we weened her off of it, but her hips are hurting her lately, and I;m just curious if there's anything we can do to help

i found this stray puppy a 61/2 weeks ago the mother had just give birth to it the,my family allow me to keep one just yesterday i brought one home but it was it took me 1 hour to make the puppy sleepy but after 15 mintues it wake up again and started barking and i decided to leave it alone after a while it stop barking but at around 4 am it started to bark my family woke up and i decided to keep the puppy company till morning and the puppy stop barking i almost didn't get to sleep in the morning my neighbour came to complain as i live in flats. now in the morning the puppy stop barking and went to sleep.

i just got puppy a month ago. its been fine but the other day i had saw some mucas that he had trown up but it had blood in it. now to day he is throwing up mucas with worms that are bout 10 inches long and lots of them i took him to the vet and they had said he didnt but it looks like shes had them since she was born and shes only 7 weeks old what do i do for it i feel really bad although she dont act sick shes her reagular hyper self

when i first contacted them, they were trying to place blame on my daughter not on the dog. the dog was chained up, but was able to reach the street while on the leash, my daughter went to get a ball that was close but not on their property and the dog lunged and bit her. now for my questions- the dog is a month behind in rabies shot-can this be a problem? also they took the dog away today to watch it for 10 days.this is costing the owner of the dog money, but shouldnt they also pay my deductables for insurance copays? there was no offer of it,so wondering what you thought, the er will be fairly costly,they have been great neighbors for over 7 years to us and never had a problem with them but on the other hand it was their dog.BTW she has a puncture wound in her thigh from the dogs fang and it did get into the muscle too as it is swollen, they also gave her antibiotics just in case.they are upset that the dog was removed from the home but iam also as my daughter did get bit by the dog

Can anyone tell me from expereince how a Border collie heat is gonna be like, how messy? If a lot of blood comes out? and every detail in between! How do you know if a bordie's heat will be dry or messy? Laika Blue is a young 8 mo female, only shown once, and she did'nt come into heat yet! Mine is a show dog so I can't get her spayed, so please don't mention that! ANY CLEAR GOOD ANSWER WILL BE REWARDED 10 POINTS FOR A BEST ANSWER!

I have a box half lab and I was wondering if boxer like water because I know labs do. When we went down to the river he didn't get in or go after the stick. He finally went in about a couple feet to get the stick but that was it he wouldn't get back in.

IF YOU WANT someone to bring you the paper without tearing it apart to remove the sports section then...., Buy a Dog, If you wantsomeone who will eat whatever you put in front of him and never says it!s not as good as his Mother made it, then buy a dog.... If you want someone to go out at any hour for as long as you want whenever you want, then buy a dog..... If you want someone who is content to only get up on your bed just to warm your feet and whom you can push off if he snores, then buy a dog ...If you want someone who never criticizes youno matter what you do, doesn!t care if you are ugly or pretty, fat or thin,young or old, who acts as if every word you said unconditional, perpetually, is good, then buy a dog.....
