I have a box half lab and I was wondering if boxer like water because I know labs do. When we went down to the river he didn't get in or go after the stick. He finally went in about a couple feet to get the stick but that was it he wouldn't get back in.

If he is still a puppy he doesnt know anything about the water. I think that all dogs like the water. I have a lab. great dane and a lab/collie and they both love the water. Once they first got into it they were unsure about it but after a couple more times of in and out they like it, give your dog some time the lab will come out in him

I have a female boxer, and she wants nothing to do with lakes, swimming pools, baths or anything else. The closest she comes to approaching water is trying to drink it as i'm pouring it into her bowl .

Dogs vary,like people.Some people like water and some dont.Its the same with dogs.

most dogs love to swim, maybe he would have went in if you were already in the water to swim and play with him ?????

then i guess he doesn't like water. all dogs are different.
