From the Labrador standard;
"Nose - The nose should be wide and the nostrils well-developed. The nose should be black on black or yellow dogs, and brown on chocolates. Nose color fading to a lighter shade is not a fault. A thoroughly pink nose or one lacking in any pigment is a disqualification"
A yellow Lab is the product of the "e" Allie of the color gene "b", and any time both "e" genes are recessive regardless of what the "b" parent genes are the dog will be yellow.
So a yellow can have the gene combinations of:
BBee, Bbee, or bbee. If both parent genes are the recessive 'b' (chocolate) the lack of a black gene will produce the pink nose (dudley)
There, clear as mud.
But what on earth happened to this little guy

Yes it is totally normal. You have nothing to worry about. Some have black noses and some have pink. It's just luck of the draw!!!

I have a Dudley!!! I know the answer!!!
If your dog is older than 8 weeks (which I'm sure he/she is), and they have a pink nose/pink around the eyes, possibly mouth, it's called being a "Dudley". He lacks pigment.
Bad is that he can't be shown, according to AKC, it's considered a "defect". He or she can still do agility testing. I'm not sure if any of that matters to you, it doesn't to me!
Good is that it doesn't affect him or her medically and they're still GREAT dogs.

Yes, it is normal.
Certain colors of dogs can have different color pigment on their noses.
I believe it's called a dudley nose.
