Personally, I think these dogs look more like hippos that pit bulls.

What is your opinion on this?

does anyone have more info on the subject?

MY DOG WAS KICKED BY A HORSE IN THE SHOULDER/LEG AREA. RIGHT FRONT. I HAVE HAD HER ON RIMADYL (25MG) FOR 2 MONTHS. SHE SEEMED TO HAVE GOTTEN BETTER, THEN I LET SHE GO THIS WEEKEND AND THE LIMPING RETURNED.
AM NOW DOING COLD COMPRESSIONS IN THE EVENINGS.
HAVE DONE XRAYS, NOTHING SHOWING UP.
SHE IN ONLY 16 MONTHS! HATE TO HAVE HER HAVE THIS LONG TERM.
ANY THOUGHTS? OR IS THE NEXT STEP "CORTICOSTEROIDS" EVEN IF WE ARE REALLY NOT SURE WHERE ON "LEG/SHOULDER" IT IS.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE, JFC

Like all black labs she is very clever and learns things really quickly. She is six months old.

The problem is that when I walk her she sometimes dosent come to me at the end of the walk and decides to run about and play instead.

When I finally get hold of her I have been giving her a row and im not sure if this is helping. I want her to know that she is misbehaving but I also dont want her to be scared to come back to me.

How old should puppies be before having a bath? I have a Oatmeal shampoo and i was wondering if i could use that on them! They are only 4 weeks old? Also how old should they be before i start to house train them. I live in Iowa and its just to cold outside right now to have them outside. Should i just try using my puppy training pads?

I have two dogs. When ever I take them outside they are fine but as soon as I try to bring the one dog in she immediatly looks for the other dog and tries to go after her, while i try to pull her in on her leash she growls and pulls against me. If I try to bring her in by her collar she still fights and tries to get the other dog. But as soon as we get inside she stops. She also only does it for me, she is fine with everyone else in my family when they take her out. Why does she do this? How can I get her to stop?

Prescribed treatment by my vet:
Inj dentyte - p 500 ml (2 days)
inj zintec 2 ml (2 days)
inj mesoworm 2ml (2 days)
taxim (Cefotaxime sodium injection ip) 1 gm - 5 days (injected in drip
and 2 injected on the hip) (1 injection daily)
inj stereyl 2 ml (2 days)
oflomac tz tinidarzole 500 mg (2 times a day) given orally dissolved
with water for 3 days
dependal m (2 capsules), frud plus (1 capsule) (before treatment began)
perinome (against vomitting) ( being given orally dissolved in water)
My 9 month male st bernard has shown some improvement as he has stopped vomitting from 24 hrs and the last stool he passed wasn't bloody. Kindly suggest the survival chances of my dog. I am very worried. It's been 2 days now that he's on the drip. And it is suggested that tomorrow ice cream or sugary yogurt should be fed to him and see if he digests it or vomits it. I live in Patiala, Punjab, India where proper hospitalization and emergency facilities for animals are not available.

My 5 year old dog is still chewing anything plastic...especially the swing parts...I've got him in a dog run (60ft x 40 ft) during the day with my other 2 dogs. I want to at least save my swing because I'm tired of buying new parts. They have chew toys like a Kong, balls, and a couple other things. At night I let them out. I've also tried Bitter Apple on the swing as well as a chilli powder paste that I saw on one of the suggested answers, but they just don't seem to have an effect on him. I really don't want to leave them in the dog run 24x7. Please help!!!!!!!

What are some ways we can use to communicate with him? Certain whistles, tones of voice, etc.? He can't hear us call him when he's outside.

I saved a puppy last night who had been left in the street and I'm going to vet to get her checked out and vaccinated etc but in the meantime I'm curious as to how old she is. All her teeth seem to have all come through, but only just. I've got her on the scales (in a fashion!) and came out at 0.5kgs. Do you know how i could find out how old she is? I'm thinking maybe around 2-2.5 months, does this sound about right? any info would be greatly appreciated.

My great uncle's last wishes was to put his 11 y/o dog in the casket with him when he dies. Well, my great uncle just died and we are watching the dog. Its a very friendly dog and the vet said yesterday it has a clean bill of health. The funeral director told us the dog would obviously have to be dead and prepared in order for them to put it the casket with my great uncle. The vet told us since the dog is healthy, its unethical to put it to sleep for no reason. I mentioned to him that they do that in a animal shelter all the time when the animals are there too long. He told me thats a different situation. The family likes the dog and none of us want to put it to sleep yet we also want to fulfill our great uncle's last wishes. The funeral director is holding off till we give him an answer. So what do we do?

I have an 8 yr old boxer, so know them well. Never owned a border collie, so no idea what they're like. Have had dogs my whole life, so I know what to expect in general. Would love to hear from anyone who has a dog of this same mix.
