People get piercings in wierd places, why not dogs? LOL! If the hook doesn't go all the way through, what do you suggest? Also, pain relievers, sedatives, anything to make it easier on the dog?

I have 5 foster Rott/shep puppies,1 has crusty ears, face & right leg since 1wk.old?negative ringworm culture, had Revolution, slightly itchy and has NOT spread to the other 4, lymph nodes NOT swollen, I'm finding new spots every few days. Puppy is healthy otherwise. Is on antibiotic x1wk and anitfungal x4wks oral meds. Cannot find anything that fits this skin disease since she had it at 1wk. old and it's not spreading to the others, only on her. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks. The pup has seen 2 Vets and they are perplexed.2 skin scrapings showed NO mites (mange),but we treated with the Revolution anyways.Strangles usually presents with enlarged lymph nodes and hers are not. The meds are for fungus and underlying infection, but negative ringworm culture.Anyone with info on lupus? yeast? zinc deficiency? hormone problems?pemphigus? The pup WAS born with a deformity at the end of her tail, so possibly she has internal deformities also causing her skin condition.shes healthy&playful

she licks and takes care of the runt and also cuddles with it.everytime i put the runt up to the tit usually she doesn't suck on it. the runt whines and tries to crawl around, but she's not as strong as the others yet. when she does latch on to the tit the other pups push her away. and she gets pushed aside. when i bottle feed it casey( my mama dog) licks it. i think she's trying to make it pee and poop. she cuddles with it, sometimes it's further away than the others are to her. i guess what i really am trying to ask is......is the runt going to be ok or does it sound like casey is trying to push it away because she know somethings wrong with it and i'm messing her up by trying to keep her alive? this is our first time ever breeeding our dog and the runt it the cutest one, i just want everything to be ok with her. please give me some goos feed back!!

I am thinking of rehoming a greyhound. My partner and I work fairly long hours and would not consider getting any other breed of dog that requires more active attention during the day, but I understand greyhounds are happy to sleep most of the day. If someone were to come in midday to let it out for a short walk, does anyone know if the dog would then be content on its own for 4 or 5 hours before and after that midday break until either me or my partner gets home? I would not wish to take on a dog if its going to be unhappy with my lifestyle, but I also wouldn't a greyhound to miss out on being rehomed if it is feasible for me to do so.

The HSUS claims that 4-6 million pets are euthanized every year here in the states. With an estimate of all dogs entering shelters being killed at 3,050,000. HSUS provided the % at 61% of all dogs entering shelters being killed at 61% and I subtracted the 61% from the high number of 5 million to get my
number. My number may be off and it may not be. I don’t know as I am unable to find even an estimate of the number of dogs euthanized each year.

If the above numbers are true, then how many of those are because of overpopulation? I guess the way we find that out is to find out how many puppies are euthanized each year. Problem there is… those numbers aren’t provided that I can see. These numbers aren’t provided for a reason. The animal rights movement would lose their support from the general public for overpopulation. The general public would realize that overpopulation is a farce and then may find out the true agenda of the AR movement. No non-human to human interaction.

He is truely a unique looking creature. He has a dark brindle coat, short floppy beagle looking ears, and a medium fluffy tail that curls up and over. A very gentle temperment, however he loves to bark at other dogs and passerbys, he's quite lazy, but can be a great escape artist when he feels like it. He has a stubborn side and is somewhat indifferent to dog food. He loves table scraps, but will sometimes just leave his dog food for hours, lying next to it "protecting it" from his sister. He is a cuddler and loves to sleep in the bed next to me. He weighs about 65lbs. I was told that he is beagle/hound mix, but are there any websites or places to look this kind of info up?

I know that pomeranians cost about 300 to 500 dollars. But what about a solid black pomeranian? the woman who sold it to us told us that they are alot more rare that the normal poms. And other breeders have offered up to 1500 for him. What would be the normal cost for a solid black pom. We have decided to breed him with two different females that belonged to my late grandmother. One is completely white with a brown dot on her snout. The other is golden. we have decided to sell the puppies acording to color and form. So Whats the difference of color, rarity of color more like it.

he is a 2 year old staffordshire bull terrier, i have tried using a choke chain on him but he just carries on pulling whilst choking! ive tried the quick stop and turn back the other way trick and that dosent seem to have helped at all, its getting to the point that i hate walking him now because he pulls so hard the lead cuts into my hand and he makes me walk funny! he also doesent stay to one side of me he crosses my path constantly making me trip over him, when i give a sharp tug on the lead when he is pulling it just seems to scare him and he walks lower to the ground like he thinks im going to hit him and pulls even more trying to get home, anyone have any ideas that mite slow him down a bit because he really is getting out of hand, thanks.

Ok, so everyone says 'dont get a teacup chihuahua, theyre mutants, breed for money and have alot of health problems'

does every single teacup chihuahua end up with health problems? or is it just a stereotype?

i know everyone hates the mills, but teacups are so cute..

so i was just wondering, are there any positives about having a teacup? because since i found out about them ive wanted either a teacup chihuahua or a teacup cocker spaniel.

anyway.. is there any positives about getting a teacup chihuahua. im in love with the one ive found.. i first went to the place and there were three, a litter. i went back the next day and two had already been bought, yet the one which was my favourite was still there. there has been so many signs that i should buy this puppy. and i was very excited, but since ive come on here everyones been negative. im leaving it until friday, and if its still there i think im going to buy it. or shouldi just ignore fate?

any opinions??

I have a bichon female and a maltese male, each about 12 pounds. I am considering owning another small dog. Part of me thinks its great, I'll still be under 40 pounds worth of dog! Will it be crazy to walk three at a time? Will they have jealousy issues? The female is certainly the alpha dog here. Should I get a male or female?
