Well i have 5 dogs and i am under over 400lbs worth of fur, so no i dont think your crazy. I walk 2 at a time but my dogs are large and if they decide to go in the same direction then thats the way i am going. Get another female, if they have dominance issues it will be between your male and the new female, but they should sort that out fairly quickly.

If you think three is bad , try 8. I would get another female. two males and one female they seem to get a little testy. You be better off getting anothe female, less problems there and you won't have to worry about them marking their territory.
I don't walk my dogs, I have a fence in yard that is connected to my house all I have to do is open the door, do I can't advice you about walking three dogs. But I really don't see a problem with it. As for the Jealousy issue you may have that once in a while, but that is natural. If one of mine gets petted more than the other , my dog will just push him aside lol.. Good luck on your dogs and to me having three would be ok..sometimes I wish that I would have stop at three..Then again I wouldn't have my fur babies.

Wrong person to ask, I have 4, totalling over 210lbs, if you can walk 2 training a 3 rd should be no problem just be consistent with teaching where it is to walk like on the outside left position, I would suggest a male, there may be some bickering but best often to let them sort out their own pack positions without interfering too much, usually within 3 weeks they will sort out and the bickereing will stop

Owning 3 dogs is not crazy. I have 5 (2 males and 3 females) chihuahuas. I can leash all five and walk them by myself if I want. I have very little issue with fighting (I do have 2 males so they bluster at one another occassionally). Get what ever gender you like. I personally like the girls better.

Owning a pack of dogs, two or more, is not crazy, though it may drive you crazy at times. Owning a pack of dogs brings great responsibility and expense. Dogs live better in a pack, its natural for them, but you, the human, must be the pack leader. Lovers of dogs and pack leaders are not one in the same. Lovers of dogs can become good pack leaders.
Great information at the Dog Whisperer, http://www.dogpsychologycenter.com/ . Cesar Millan is all about packs of dogs, his pack has as many as 40 dogs at any given time. He can be seen on the National Geographic channel on Friday nights.
Remember, dogs need to walk 30 or more minutes every day, and working dogs need to work every day. Each of my dogs get 30 minutes on the treadmill every day, in addition to other forms of exercise when time allows.
Make it a great day for you and your pack!

Well, then you're in good company, I have 4 dogs currently. We've always had at least 2 dogs, and frequently 3. They have always got along well together, but we let them know in no uncertain terms, that we wouldn't tolerate fighting. There will be a bit of jealousy at first.
You had better get a male. Female fights are BAD!
PS - I never thought of it in terms of poundage - that means I have approx. 550 lbs of dogs.

Its not crazy to own 3 dogs at all, in fact you could own 20 dogs and it still wouldn't be crazy as long as you give them all an equal amount of attention and they all have the vital necessities that dogs need.

I look forward to reading your answers. I also have two dogs,
both shih-tzus, both males. the older 1 age 11&22lbs. thinks he's the mother of the 6mo. old 6.8 lb. one. it's been great company for both of them. If i were you i would consult with several breeders. they may all have diferent idas. for me, as bad as I would like to have another one I have chosen to waite untill I am down to 1 dog. I think 2 babies may be too much for my older one. lots of people have 3 they do fine. i guess it depends on your dogs personality. if you get another one i would think a male would be the best choice. males don't seem to be as moody as females.

Those are two adrable dogs you have. But I think 3 is overdoing it. Unless you absolutely love dogs it will be a good idea
