We just got an adult dog about a month ago, about 4 years old, a lab/beagle mix. He was abused and then spent an entire year in a cage before he came to us. I had to teach him how to go up down stairs and potty train him and everything, but he constantly marks his territory. I've tried EVERYTHING! I've used Natures Miracle to get rid of the odor, taking him out every 10 minutes to go to the bathroom and then praise him, sternly saying NO when he tries to mark but it's no use. He always seems to mark when I'm NOT around which is rarely as I try to keep him in my sight at all times to prevent this. I am just running out of patience. I don't know what to do.. it seems every time I think he's over this habit he does it again. He's also Neutered (he was neutered in November) PLEASE any help will be greatly appreciated.

for last 5 days i've let her sleep in my bed with me because i bought her a crate but everytime i put her in it she freaks out to the point where she starts hurting herself and she starts screaming bloody murder she makes it sound like she is being torchered i've been trying to get her used to being in it but i've had no luck so far and she doesn't howl (otherwise i could handle it) she screams and its nothing but extremely loud piercing sharp sounds i would let her sleep with me in my bed again tonight but just last night i woke up with about 23 itchy bite marks all throughout my back and on my stomach a few on my arms and some on my face i've never experienced that before until she came we think it may be fleas but we are unsure because we haven't been able to find any on her i've messaged the breeder i bought her from but i haven't got a response yet on what she thinks it might be
so tonight i've put my husky in her crate because i just sprayed my room to kill whatever parasites

about 8 days later he became very lethargic, vomited once, will not eat ,drinks very little and has lost weight. also his teeth have turned yellow the vet could not remove the yellow so did lab work feb 19. no billirubin in urine...only labs out of the ordinary were ALT slightly elevated. he got IV fluids / lasix. was sent home on daily lasix and denosyl and returns for more lab work on feb 22. his physical condition has not changed. he eats very little with much coaxing and i give pedialite with a syringe in his mouth. what should i ask the vet? or should i go to another?

We have had our dog for 7 years. She is a pitbull cross mixed up with god knows what. She has been a great protector over the years and was once beaten up in a home invasion when she was 2. Since then she has been quite agressive with all men or kids...not so much women. She has bitten 3 times 3 different friends of ours. We now have a 13 month old child who the dog HATES she growls at him and barks at him. We love her but we love our child more....we are worried that one day she might bite/attack him. do we have to go to the extent of putting her down? we don't know anyone that will take her as she is too agressive???? what would you do?

Its always somewhere different at about this time of year. This year its his front leg half ways up. His skin is not dry and his fur is shiny. He's 14 years old and well cared for, like a family member. Spoiled rotten, I'd say. I put Bag balm on it and sometimes polysporin and bitter spray so he wont lick it but nothing works. I'm frustrated and looking for sugestion to try.

A friend of mine has a 5 yr. old dalmation dog. Latley the dog has been having problems urinating, come to find out the dog has stones and can't pass them. The vet told my friend it was going to cast about $3000.00 to do an opperation or else the dog is going to die. Well right now my friend can't afford it and the dog is in a lot of pain. Is there any alternatives to the surgury that might be a little cheaper??? Any advise will help. Thanks

She's almost 9 months old. And I feel like she has had her period for a long time. Not sure exactly but at least 3 weeks. She's really swollen. Although her bleeding isn't as heavy now she still spots. My vet told me to wait till she's done to get her fixed but I was just wondering if anyone knew if this was normal? Is something wrong if she is bleeding for so long? How do I know when she's done? Also does anyone know if her vagina will go back to normal?

If you do, tell me.

I have a Doberman, Named hammer. he is my 11th dobie. I've been raised with dobermans, and they are the best breed ever! dont beleive me, then check out the stats..
I saved him from a shelter when he was 11 months old, he is pure bred, but his first owners couldnt keep him anymore because they already paid too much for him " a thousand dollars" and they didnt want to keep up with him, so they dropped him off at the shelter when he was 3 months old. he then was adopted agian at 9 months, but he got loose, but when the shelter picked him up, the second owners didnt want him, they said that he was too big and stalky, and they just didnt want him anymore, he was too affectionate. and they didnt have time for that. and when i came in to look for a dobe with my father, the shelter said he only had the weekend to live, it was friday! I adopted him immeadiataly. Now he is being police trained by me, bc all my dobes were. and now he is the best obediant dobie ever!

he is the best thing i have had in my life so far, and alot of people congradulate me on saving him, but i cant help to think inside that he has saved me in more ways then i can count!
