Both my Australian Shepherd and Jack Russell love chapstick and are they ever clever reaching it. I guess its the smell. Never had any trouble with either of them. Mostly wax and it is safe for your lips. Good luck keeping it away from him(her). No worries.

You pretty much have nothing to worry about. She may get an upset stomach and throw up, but probably not. I love chapstick and I leave it everywhere so my dogs have gotten into it on more than one occasion. No harm done to them, and if it's safe for humans to put on their lips and safe to eat for humans (even though your not supposed to), it's probably safe for dogs too.

A couple of days ago, my dog somehow got ahold of my chapstick and ate it. You really have nothing to worry about it. Your dog should be fine, mine was. Infact she wanted to eat more chapstick, but i didnt allow her to.

I don't think you really have anything to worry about - I mean you wear it and consume it...my dog has eaten glitter, chapstick...all sorts of weird stuff when she was a puppy, and she's no worse for wear..

I think you should take him immediately to the vet!...not trying to scare you but he may get sick, like throwing up or something. Good luck.
