God when I see that commercial (dogs in shelter), I always get teary eyed. What a powerful commercial. Anyone else get that way?

If people thought and cared about their animals there wouldn't be a need for such a commercial. Having worked in a shelter for more than forty years. I no longer cry. I still however get angry.

I get a little choked up and could get teary eyed if I wanted.
But I think of my dog, that I saved from one of those shelters.
And it makes me feel good that I did. I wish more people would adopt them. buy the way, my dogs eat Pedigree too.
It is a great commercial and I am certain a lot of people Will adopt now, if they are looking. after seeing that.
I didn't know Fox Mulder did the narration, I'll listen closer next time.
yes I forgot about the ( I am a good Dog ) yes that hits me hard, I want to cry.

While I haven't cried, I do get sad when I see it. Maybe more people will adopt a dog from a shelter after seeing this. My last three dogs have been shelter dogs. All of them have been wonderful. Most people think of shelter dogs as being put there because they are "bad" , or "mean" dogs, but the reality is many people get a dog, then realize they don't want to put the effort into taking care of a dog, and only got one because they were "cute" when they were puppies, and now the cute factor has worn off. Thumbs up to pedigree for making a great commercial that makes us think....

It is a good commercial but it makes me sick to think of the real purpose behind the message. Pedigree is infamous for being a garbage food but using marketing to sell its product. To think they are so vial as to tug at your emotions like that...to the point that you want to cry, just to make a bigger profit margin, disgusts me.

I volunter with a branch of the SPCA and I know about how horrible life is for those animals...I just wish the commercial came from a more reputible source...not one that has been accused of testing on animals. HMMM, makes me wonder...they care about animals in shelters but not the ones they use for testing????

PLEASE THINK CRITICALLY WHEN WATCHING THESE ADS AND DON'T LET YOUR EMOTIONS GET THE BEST OF YOU. Visit your local shelter and share your emotions with the animals there.

omg it make me freakin cry! i mean those lil cute faces and eyes. " i know i am a good dog " and " but what i dont know is how i ended up in here" oh geez... i could cry thinkin about it. marketing people for pedigree are genius and get right to the heart. it dosent make me buy pedigree food but makes me want to rescue a lil doggie, then i look over at my pup brewster living like a king... wow whatta commercial.

As a dog lover, and owner of 4 dogs, 2 rescued, YES, it does bring a tear to my eyes. Hopefully, even though it is sad, people will finally get the point of SPAY/NEUTER. Then, of course we wouldn't have such a problem, and no more pets would have to be caged, with hopes of adoption.

Yes, that commercial makes me want to run to the shelter and bring home all the dogs in it, but I know I can't. I just hope that it makes people check their shelters when they think about getting an animal.

yes.. I admit it... I don't even buy pedigree products cause the quality is not as high as other brands... but still... when they say "I know I am a good dog..." I just want to cry!

yeah it is sad, but keep in mind that pedigree is going to do anything to get u to buy their food.
the food is full of junk that is not good for your dog and so many people r going for the raw diet and all natural pet foods and costing the dog food companies like pedigree to lose money. they r doing this to sell u and get u to buy their food.
