you can't. but if you shower her try using the softest setting. I shower my dogs because you can introduce them to the water nicely. Pure water will probably scare them because it looks deep like something based on instinct is triggered.

Don't think I'm weird... Have you tried taking a shower with your dog? I have 3 different breeds of dogs all ranging from 9lbs up to about 16lbs. None of them particularly like to bathe but I do find that they seem less upset when they take a shower with me.
They don't act like they are afraid of falling into the water like they did in the bathtub alone. I'm actually there with them, and if need be, I will pick them up and hold them against me to rinse off under the shower head. If you don't have an adjustable shower head with a hose, consider getting one. It really helps.

Try the old the minute you put her in the bath give her a treat. She'll associate baths with treats and maybe she won't squirm.

Is the water too hot or too cold? My dog doesn't much like them, but he sits still. I also sing to him.

They just have to get used to them, and they'll get used to them faster the more you do it. If you give them baths when they're pups it helps, but you still have to do it over and over. I would try once a day..if you keep doing it, eventually they'll get used to it.

just be nice to her. Make her her favorite meal. Make sure the water is the right temp.

my dog used to do that also. just give him treats afterwards and he will be more calm during it because he knows treats are coming afterwards!
