I have a Doberman, Named hammer. he is my 11th dobie. I've been raised with dobermans, and they are the best breed ever! dont beleive me, then check out the stats..
I saved him from a shelter when he was 11 months old, he is pure bred, but his first owners couldnt keep him anymore because they already paid too much for him " a thousand dollars" and they didnt want to keep up with him, so they dropped him off at the shelter when he was 3 months old. he then was adopted agian at 9 months, but he got loose, but when the shelter picked him up, the second owners didnt want him, they said that he was too big and stalky, and they just didnt want him anymore, he was too affectionate. and they didnt have time for that. and when i came in to look for a dobe with my father, the shelter said he only had the weekend to live, it was friday! I adopted him immeadiataly. Now he is being police trained by me, bc all my dobes were. and now he is the best obediant dobie ever!
he is the best thing i have had in my life so far, and alot of people congradulate me on saving him, but i cant help to think inside that he has saved me in more ways then i can count!

I simply LOVE Dobermans!!!! My favorite breed. They are very intelligent, devoted loyal,affectionate,fearless with tremendous strength and stamina. I have owned Dobies for the past 25+ years.Currently I have three , 2 females, Desire & Velvet and a male named Blazer.It breaks my heart to know there are these magnificent breed of dogs in shelters and rescues. Christina, what did the vet say about Hammers lump that he had?

I have basset hounds, but a friend of mine that I stay with a couple a days a week for school has a doberman... she is the sweetest thing in the whole world and has really taken to me... I was terrified of dogs three years ago and she and my basset hounds have gotten me over it quickly...

I used to have a doberman a mini one and she was the best!
she was a hiper one tho, she died of seizures last winter:(the only thing i didnt like that much was she shed like crazy. just pet her once and you would have a hand full of black hair...

They are beautiful,my friend has one and he's a sweetheart. I have a weimaraner and they love to play together.It's very nice somebody like you can save such a nice dog, or be saved by one :-)

i absolutely love them. they r so calm when need be but can still play and have fun. They r sooo loving and very loyal. Also great with other animals. I know the ones i have been around, have been great with all other animals.
