that I won't bring a shelter dog home? I am going to put in a volunteer application in at a humane society but they are afraid I am going to bring all of the dogs home. I absolutely love dogs and am thinking about working with them as a career. That is the reason I want to work at the humane society. They are adamant that it will hurt me because I will feel so sorry for the animals and won't be able to leave them. Please help!!!

My partner's dog is making coughing sounds every 15 to 30 minutes. This started probably early this morning as it woke me up. Last night it was cool and we had the window open so is it possible she has a chill, at the moment she's just laying around looking a little mopey but I'm not sure if it's because she didn't get much sleep because she was coughing or because she had a big day at the park yesterday arvo. If someone else knows or has experienced this can they help because we're a little bit worried.

last night i was sitting at my house doing some of my homework when i heard my dog start barking, i went to go check it out and i discovered a 6 month old Lab mix running around my yard. i let him in and fed him and gave him some water. then i called the police to take him away because my parents wouldnt let me keep him. did i do the right thing by calling the police. i would feel terrible is someone found my dog and kept him without even looking for the owner. i just want to know if i did the right thing, cuz i wanted to keep him really badly. and he may just be put to sleep too. tell me if what i did was right

My 11.5 month old puggle puppy still isnt potty trained! She was doing good but not anymore. She goes to the door sometimes but if we dont see her she'll run off and go the bathroom somewhere in the house. She doesnt whine or anything just stands at the door for about 15 seconds and then leaves. If shes not potty trained SOON we have to give her away. Were consistent with her but i dont know what else to do! i love her so much and dont want to give her away! Help me please!

I got my toy poodle at about 8 weeks old. The breeder told me that my pup (currently 11 weeks old) had "puppy fur" right now and that his coat would get curlier when he gets older. Is this true? Right now his hair is wavy, but it isn't curly or poofy like the images I see of toy poodles in shows. Any poodle owners out there know about this?

I always carry at least 2 plastic grocery bags with me when I walk my dogs, so I can clean up after them. Now, it's not as though these bags are hard to come by, and it really doesn't take much effort to reach down and collect the poo. Not to mention, I don't want to walk my dogs tomorrow and run the risk of stepping in some business that I chose to ignore the day before. The worst part is, people seem to be pretty shameless about it. Is it laziness? Stupidity? Irresponsibility? All of the above? What gives?
