So, it's going to snow all weekend and my 4 1/2 year old Jack Russell Terrier HATES the snow! So, when we go outside, he promtly does his business and wants to go back inside...

That would be fine, except, he doesn't get enough exercise this way and he gets nuts when he isn't exercised enough...

What are some good in door activites we can do that will wear him out without destroying the house. Anything involving throwing or tossing something simply won't work.

Also, he has boots and a coat, but I think he hates wearing those even more than he hates the snow...

Basicly What I'm wondering is, what are the breeds that aren't super high energy? My mom has a jack russel terrier, and if you know about dogs, know they are very high energy kind of dogs. I'm going to be moving out soon, so I'll just deal with him bouncie theivery. Though when I do move out I would like to get a SMALL dog, but not one with so much energy. I understand that puppies atleast are all high energy high maintnace.. and I'm ready for that, but I'd like one that mellows out after a few years atleast so I can sit and relax with my dog.

If there is any possibillitty of any one knowing how a Corgi is could you please tell me. I've looked on some sites, but they aren't as informational As I'd like.

Thanks for your time and dealing with my grammer and spelling mistakes.

peace out.

Ask & then REFUSE to accept the facts?

Just bored children-whatever their age?
Terminally stupid?
Desperately trying to find anybody out in cyber-space that will validate their ignorance?
Think that the rules don't apply to *them*?
Truly can't tell the difference between FACTS & "opinions"?

All of the above?

...Why the heck wouldn't you? Don't you realize that the poop your doggie makes today, YOU may step in tomorrow? Sorry...I was just out with my dogs, and can't believe how many people just shamelessly let their dogs crap everywhere, and walk away. Plastic bags are not hard to come by these days, people...you'll never see me and my pups without at least 2 of them. What gives?

My neighbor is hosting a gaming dinner tonight. For those of you who are not familiar with them, it is a dinner where everything served has been hunted. We are going to have veil, rabbit stew...stuff like that.

Well, my wife just called me in a semi-hysteria as she has not been able to find the dog all afternoon. Now, this is NOT out of the ordinary since our dog does take off for hours at a time, but usually comes right back (especially in bad weather).

What strikes me in a sick strange way is that my neighbor has been VOWING to get me back since our last party (I got VERY drunk and urinated in his wife's potted plant...I have since apologized and we've moved on)

He mentioned there will be a 'special' meal served tonight to all of our friends...

Would he DARE do what I'm thinking????

If he did, what kids of laws are there against him??

It's kinda obvious by my name what kind I love. Allthough most large breeds are great. Danes have a special place in my heart because they are such gentle, mellow giants. Not to mention they are magnificent looking creatures.

My dog does not control his very well and I am wondering if it will be better to have it "removed", he is "fix" so I figured he does not need that thing stinking all over my furniture.

My dad slipped on the ice outside of his house yesterday, fell down, and broke his 6 month old puppy's neck that had been following right behind him, killing the puppy..

My dad is completely depressed right now, extreme guilt which I can completely understand.

Should I get him a sympathy card or anything like that??

The thing I should tell you is that my father loves his animals probably more than he loves his family.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I have and eight month old terrier mix and sometimes i can get him to play ball. The problem is sometimes he will take the frisbee or ball and run back towards me but before he gets to me he drops the toy.

What can i do to have him chase the toy and bring it back to me. I have tried to put him on a fifteen foot leash but he still tends to drop it before he gets to me.

Thank you for your help

My almost 5 mth old puppy is very active. I can't seem to stop him from chasing my 2 poor terrified cats. I recently let him have the whole house because I thought he could hold his bladder better. This morning, there were poops all around the carpet and urine on the kitchen tile. I scolded him bad for almost a minute. Now he just chewed off my book. I seem to have lost my patience with the dog, and my cats will never be free around the house anymore. I feel bad for them. It seems they will never get along with the dog forever. I want the dog to be prob free and a peaceful house again. Is it impossible? I'm tempted to give the dog away but it just doesn't seem right. He's fond of me now and follows me wherever I go. What should I do?
