How much food should I give a 4+ month lab/hound mix? and how many times a day? I am using Nutro natural choice. Should I mix it with wet food?

Feed what's recommended - it's usually on the back of the bag. Adjust as needed. I fed my pup 2-3 times a day until she was roughly a year old.
You don't have to mix the dry food with wet food, but you certainly can if you want.

Good luck with your pup!

A 4-month old should be fed at least 2x's a day; once in the morning and once in the afternoon. It needs twice-a-day feeding until it's 1 year old, because it's still gorwing.

Feed it as much as it will eat during each feeding, and then take the food away from it. Make sure it has clean water available at all times.

Nutro dry is a good source of nourishment, but if the dog turns it nose up at the dry food, you can mix in some wet. (Dry food is better for keeping its teeth clean.)

You don't need to mix in wet food, the dry food is good for the teeth anyway.
Most dog food has a feeding guide on the bag. I have a 7 month old golden retriever, she gets 1 cup 3x day.

I wouldnt use wet food because it would become accustomed to it and want the dry food with the wet food... feed him in the morning and at night... he should be about 20lbs so look at the bag and it will tell you how much the puppy needs in a day... i think 2 cups a day... so feed it a cup in the morning and a cup at night... if he is really hyper and he gobbles down his food then you can give him 1/2 -1 cup more... I hope this was helpful!!

There is a feeding guide on the back of the bags for most dog foods. It even gives you the amounts to feed per day. I have 2 puppies under a year and I feed them 2 x a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. And believe me, once your puppy gets the routine, he'll let you know it's time to eat.

Good Luck

Usually the food to be given is determined by the weight of the dog. There should be a guide on the bag of food as to how much to give him, but be sure to adjust it as your pup grows.
It's up to you and your schedule whether or not to distribute the food 2 or 3 times a day. I would steer clear of wet food as it tends to give dogs loose stools.

My opinion on this is that soft food mix in with solid food is really good for the pup's teeth and 4 it stomach and digestive system and a schedule is great for 4 month old. 3 times a day, i give my pup 2 cup of soft food mixed with water and 1 cup of solid food. ask any vet, it very good 4 them.

i think you'd feed the dog 2x a day, in the morning and at dinner time. you shouldn't have to mix it with wet food if the dog is that age...but you should use puppy formulated dog food, and go by the weight of the dog when measuring how much to feed him (it should say it on the box.) ;)

Leave dry food available at all times and supplement with canned food twice a day.
