My dog does not control his very well and I am wondering if it will be better to have it "removed", he is "fix" so I figured he does not need that thing stinking all over my furniture.

Yes there is a procedure to have them surgically removed, but I think that is a last resort. I take me dog to my groomer and they squeeze them or a vet can do it. The groomer is sometimes cheaper if funds are tight.
