Your not pathetic- you pretty much just lost a family member. you'll probably always miss your dog. He was a huge part of your life and someone you came to depend on day after day. And now he isn't there.

I had my dog for 15 years and he died when i was sixteen. I don't even have any memories before him. I still miss him and that was like 3 years ago.

Sometimes a dog especially an older dog can get very sick in a very short amount of time. I think your mom and dad made the right decsion to have him put down. You are not pathetic at all my dear. You just miss your best friend and it's going to take some time for you to fully understand the whole thing. I am so sorry that your best friend is no longer with you, but his being a part of your life will always remain in all the wonderful memories you have of him and in your heart.

Take care :)

i can recreate the "snow" scene interior the Breakfast club . i can produce extra methane gas than the common dairy farm. i can choose for 3 days with out brushing my tooth. i can turn a 60 minute guy right into a fifty 9 2d guy. And my maximum pathetic means to this factor: i can make issues worse with the aid of apologizing.

Sometimes it is harder to loose an animal that a person in your life. Their undying love and loyalty count for so much. You have the right to grieve for as long as necessary, but remember the good times and when you are ready go adopt from your local humane society.
Good luck

A lost my Boxer when I was 22 he grew up with me.....he was about 14 when he died (They put him to sleep as well just when he appeared to be fine!) So you can imagine the hurt The King felt..

noooooo...... I would be torn up... crying and everything... you are not pathetic at all...

But, time will heal it...

Just be comforted by the fact that he didn't suffer much, it was good he was put down before he got worse, and for a dog he lived a long life with people who cared very much for him.

This dog was part of your life for so long. You are going to have to grieve in order to move forward. Remember, though, you wouldn't of wanted him to suffer. All dogs go to heaven.
