Neutered dogs do get bigger than they would if they are not neutered (like how steers get bigger than bulls), because the testosterone counter-acts the estrogen and the estrogen is what is responsible for skeletal growth.

He may get a little bigger than 10-12 lbs, but probably not much. It depends on how big he was going to get anyway. If you are really worried about him getting big, you can wait until he is closer to a year old to get him neutered.

There have been studies by vet schools showing that yes, pups that are neutered young, can grow taller than normal. The hormones in an intact male influence the end of bone growth after puberty. They have found that by neutering young, the bones tend to continue growing for longer than they would in an intact dog. I honestly can not give you an idea of how big your pup will be. We do not know how his genetic material is made up. I can tell you that I recently saw a male Shepherd that was sold as a pet 3 years ago. He has a female looking head and is very tall and leggy. I aske the people if they had him neutered before a year of age. That boy was about 29 inches tall, which was very amazing from the breeding he was out of. So to answer part of your question, yes neutering a male young can cause more leg growth.

Altering a dogs sexual organs wont stunt or cause execessive growth. The gentalia of a dog or any animal doesnt dictate the growth pattern of the animal. The gland in the brain decides that. Depends on what size the mom and dad were and what genes the puppy got. On occasions there are mutated genes that can cause excessive growth or odd shapes and colors. These are not found in the testicle of the dog, and will not make the diffrence if you nueter him or not.
Nutering at an early age sometimes will change the muscle developments in the chest, head, and hindquarter region. making them look a bit more feminine in structure but wont change the height or general size. Nutered animals can sometimes be prone to becoming overweight because of loss of key hormones but good diet and exercise keeps this from happening.

Neutering your dog won't make the dog "bigger" (although the dog may put on some pounds of fat if it's less active than it was before).

Your pup will probably be right around 10-12 pounds, unless you overfeed it.

Dogs do not grow bigger just because they are neutered.

Cutting off a dog's genitalia is not going to make him grow...if anything, limiting his testosterone will make him smaller...
