We recently adopted a 7 y/o Schnauzer mix from the shelter. I picked him up and I walk him and take him outside. He is a very obedient and well trained dog. My problem is that he won't do anything without me. He plays with my daughters but if I stand up he comes to me. I make my daughters feed him and walk him so he becomes more dependant on them but it doesn't seem to help. He follows me everywhere in the house and if I leave, he stays at the door and howls, even when the rest of the family is home. How do I break him of this behaviour?

I just got a puppy, a labrador retriever, he's five months old. He is terrified of even getting up from where he sleeps. I carried him down last night so he can try to use the bathroom but he was so scared he hid under a truck, and I had to get down on my knees to pull him out...He hasn't used the potty at all since we got him yesterday! Please help!

She's an adorable Beagle, not quite a year old, and we can't seem to break her of the habit of eating her own poo, then she wants to love on us and give us kisses --- UGH!! I have tried adding ForBid to her food every day, but it just seems to make her throw up, but she still goes back to her favorite buffet --- her own poo in the yard or wherever she has an accident in the basement. We've had lots of dogs, but never one with this revolting habit. We feed her very good dogfood.

I let him outside yesterday and he ended up getting into the neighbor's yard and playing with their dogs. Now that he's back inside the house all he does is whine and run to the door. He whines like he's running out of breath. Any reason why he's doing this? What can I do to make him stop?

Time out like with children?
One is in bed with me this morning, the other comes in the room. The one that was in the bed gets jealous because she knows he is gonna want up on the bed too. She jumps off the bed and attacks him. they dont really "fight". Just more of a barking and growling thing. More funny than anything. They both jump up in my bed afterwards, one on each side of me and the whole time they are argueing back and fourth-growling away. overtop of me. Why are they so jealous of each other? How do i put them in time out?

I feed him really good food from one of the few places here that sell the good stuff. i also add yogurt to some kibble and he likes that, and mostly raw burger meat....to really temp him. but he usually will only eat about 4 cups of kibble (I use Innova large breed puppy) divided into two feedings i try to give him more by feeding him 2 and 1/2 cups and he always leaves some.. i thought he would eat a lot and he wont eat plain kibble at all. what's up? has he really got me trained or is there a problem.?
