I use nothing but water on my Labs. As working dogs the natural oil in their coat is important. Surprising as it may sound you will find that the dog will produce a less offending smell if you do not use a shampoo. You can also get spray mist products at the pet shop if you want a nice smell.

Oatmeal shampoo is usually the best. It also conditions their skin and it doesn't dry the skin out. That is all I use on my dog. If your dog has sensitive skin, you should use a sensitive skin type of shampoo. NEVER use human shampoo or soap on an animal. Not even baby shampoo. That is asking for trouble!!!
