My puppy is 4 months old and he has scratched both of his eyes. We have taken him to the vet who gave him antibiotics but we need to do something about his pain. Also, I am concerned that he may have a temporary case of entropion as his eyes are closed so tightly due to the pain. I can get him to open his eyes for a short time but not very long. Any suggestions or advice would be helpful...I am so worried about him. Has anyone else had this problem?

My dog always eats my cats food. We scold her, put her outside, tell her no, but nothing seems to work, she does it anyway. She is not underfed, the vet said she is perfect. We have tried putting my cats food in a seperate room but we cant always remember to close the door, and somehow somebody leaves it open and my dog gets in. What are some ways to leave food available for my cat without my dog getting into it?

Looking for an appartment in the Richmond City / surrounding areas. Moving from Dallas to Richmond with two dogs, a small pug and a big old yellow lab. I'm also moving there with my girlfriend who is 4 months pregnant so we're looking for at least a two bedroom with an expected baby. Any help would be much appreciated. Open to appartments, where it would be nice to meet people, but also open to houses, town homes, etc...

Thanks!

The threee year old cat (male) and the puppy (female) mostly play. It can be irritating, but the behavior is correctable and I'm working on keeping them in line. However the old cat is scary and the puppy is markedly more aggresive with her. Also the younger cat is aggresive with her and will chase her through the house or they fight, which gets the dog all riled up. Even when the dog is caged the cats fight for position on the bed, sometimes in the middle of the night. This has become more prevalent as the older cat has become more and more frail. She is also exhibiting undesirable behaviors she would never have done when younger. The vet said cats can actually become sort of senile and outside of being moody, frail and senile, she's in farily good health for her age. To keep the peace and my sanity, should I put the old cat down or find the puppy a new home?

I rescued a young adult male Jack Russell from a local dog pound last week. He is a very well-trained and loving little guy. However, he has yet to bark even once. He has whined and whimpered a few times, yet not one bark. People I know who have experience with the breed say they can be naturally quite "yappy." Can his lack of barking be natural, or is it possible that his previous owner had him surgically altered to prevent barking?

I have researched the dog know what its history is and everything about the breed seems like the best family dog and is used for therapy dogs as well, which is how I became familier with the breed. I need a therapy dog for my disabled 5 yr old daughter. Are the negative feedback from experience or hear say?

I have a wonderful pup that I absolutely adore and cannot imagine living without. The problem is...that when I go to work, he will NOT stop barking. He will bark sometimes for HOURS on end...and while I do have a dog walker to walk him in the middle of the day, I cannot afford to put him in doggy day-care everyday.
My neighbors have gotten mad and I'm told by my landlord that if i can't get my dog to stop barking, I will have to get rid of him :(

Has anybody here used a No-Bark collar on their dogs? If so, which ones are good and effective and which ones aren't? I used an Innotek one and found it completely ineffective. I'm willing to spend money to buy a product that works! It's better than getting rid of my pup!!!!
Please help me keep my dog...i can't imagine living in this apt without him. :(

I recently got a 4 month old dog. He seems so sad and seems very Happy when he sees other dogs. I try to cuddle him, Love him and play but he looks at me so sadly and just doesnt seem interested and playful, but gets playful when he sees other Dogs.
Is it a bad idea to get him a pal? He is going to be a fairly med-large dog, so I was considering getting another but only small in size
