The males tend to be more high-strung. Males also tend to be more dominating, protective, and aggressive. Aggressive males do not like most men.

Females tend to be more calm and laid-back. Although there are some very dominant females, many tend to let the males dominate them.

It also depends on breed and training, though.

I'm no expert, just an experienced dog owner/breeder; I spend most of my time at home with my dogs. I've observed that unaltered males and females have many differences. With all environmental conditions equal, males are more aggressive, independent and protective. Females are more emotionally needy.

males are usually more protective of the land on which they live on, they are also more aggresive than females in most occasions. Females are more protective of there family, there owner and the owners familly, females are often a little less on the attacking side but more defense.

female dogs are more protective of themselves. they wont easily come to any stranger. male dogs seem to be more friendly.
