He hates being brushed. He's an Aussie, so he has really long hair and he sheds all over the place. Every time I go to brush him, he bites the brush handle, and I know that is his warning to stop. I am so frustrated with trying to deal with him. If I don't brush him, there are huge clumps of dog hair all over the floor and furniture and my allergies will act up big time. He never used to be like this, this has only started in the last few months or so.

I read on a website somewhere that if you have a puppy who pees in a spot they're not suppose to and store bought repellent like No Go doesn't work. Spraying a mix of water and lemon juice will keep them away. Dogs supposably hate the smell and taste of Lemon juice ?? Is this true ? Some of the store bought repellents smelled terrible and didn't work. Will squirting Lemon juice in places they're not suppose to go keep them away ??

She just absolutely refuses to eat at HER bowl. We've tried closin rm. doors to prevent her going in, but then she'll take the food to another area. Of course she leaves crumbs all over when she does this, so we want her to eat at her bowl, but insists on her way, how do we break this habit?

I just recently bought a chihuahua mix puppy. I was told that her birthday was September 11, 2006. After looking online, I thought that I had until she was 6 months old to get her spayed. Now all of a sudden, my 4 year old male chihuahua mix dog is constantly licking her genitals and trying to mount her. Do I need to be worried? Is it at all possible for her to be in heat this early? I thought I had at least another month to get her fixed. Please let me know if it is possible for her to get pregnant at this age.

Thanks.

She will sit and loves to cuddle and sit or lay on us, but we think that because she plays "tag" with our young grandsons, that she thinks that she can get us to chase her and we are too old for that and she should come, sit and come when we command her to for her own and others' safety. Please help!

milks a blanket, chews on every stuffed animal he can get a hold of and chases after the pet rabbit? Any advice? He has been through k-9 training class prior to me getting him today. He is almost 2 years old.

My 6-7 mo. old puppy absolutely FREAKS OUT when we try to cut her nails. She's never had a bad experience with nail clipping (we have known her since she was 2 weeks old, and were the first to ever cut her nails). She screams and whines as though we are beating her! We have tried holding her down, giving her treats during the nail clipping, nothing works. If she even SEES the nail clippers, she begins to whimper.

Any suggestions? Her nails are starting to get too long, and I have no idea what to do. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I want to breed my dog? I would like to stud my dog out, I would be willing to take pick of the litter or not charge too much? Never mind that he is not certified on anything health wise, he is not Championed in anything either. Oh, did I say he was a monorchid? Maybe he has hydrocephalus too! My ***** has been in labor pushing for 12 hours and there is no pup, I can't take her to the vet because I don't have any money though. Can dogs get pregnant if they only tie once?? What colors will I get if I breed a white German Shepherd to a Black and Tan German Shepherd?? If you people need to ask these questions, why don't you ask the breeder that you got your dogs from about breeding?? Is it because your dog came from a BYB that did not know anything and you think you have the best dog out there?? I want to find a Snorkie stud to breed my Snorkie ***** to, and by the way she is purebred because she has CKC papers!! What kind of questions do people need to ask before they know they

She's doing well and is learning quickly. My problem is staying out of a specific area of the house. She always wants to be with me. We have an area borded off with plywood about 3 feet hight that she can clear easily and jumps over whenever I give her the stay command. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When I scold her she hides and won't come to me. It's seems to be a constant battle. Question: Do we continue with the barrier or take it down and just let her come back with me to this part of house? (It's our bedrooms and formal living room.) We've been putting her in her kennel when she jumps over and disobeys, but I don't want the kennel to be punishment. Help!

I already have a pit bull. He's almost a year old. I have a friend that has two puppies he has to find a home for, and they are a doberman and a rottweiler. Would it be okay to raise these three dogs together? My dog is very friendly, and gets along with other dogs well. These puppies are very sweet and seem to like my dog well enough, but is there anything that I should worry about in relation to the three different breeds?

The vet just treated her last week, she passed a long worm and now 1 week later she has very small live worms in her defication again. Does it take multiple treatments?? Shouldn't they be dead from the first treatment a week ago? They said she got it from a flee, but she has no flees now (that we can see), so why are these worms back, are they new, or just persistent? How do I get rid of them for good? Or at least for good in the now?

as i stated before.. i'm aware! you dont know my history or my financial situtation.. i also stated my education in this matter.. you stated you've been to an animal shelter, good for you, let me pat you on the back! have you been to the million of foster homes for human babies around the world? well we're not talking about people, right? and i am not talking about vet bills, de-formalitites or any other unfortunate things around the world...right? so, DUH! i simply stated i am looking for a breeder.... NOT YOUR OPINION! i am well educated in the "down-falls", "mis-haps" and "unfurtunate circumstances" i am aware of the "facts of life" i have been there w/ breeders, i suppourt breeders.. to a point, i dont agree w/ over breeding or inbreeding, i know what it all intales.
i love animals and i love mine as i love my childeren, i take my kids to the pediatrics and i take my pets to the vet... i pay my bills, whats it to you? like i stated before..im looking for breeders not opinions!
