get a crate. and put her on a schedule. so you know when she'll need to go out. keep her in the crate anytime you can't directly observe her, but not all day. when you catch her going potty inside scoop her up and take her outside, saying let's go potty while going out the door. once outside don't give attention, just keep saying go potty, until she does. then praise the heck out of her. just wait until she's done so she doesn't stop and finish inside. it may take 30-45 mins at first. but she'll get the hang of it. be consistant and patient. she's a puppy and trying to learn. don't use the crate as punishment, it should be a source of comfort for her. here's a great crate training site that not only tells you why crate training works but how to do it. and has other training links on it. good luck.

It is not easy to train a female cocker puppy. Hope u have lots of time a patience. 1 get a dog crate worth every $. 2. feed her the same time, inside the crate, pay attention when she is done eating remove the food. 2 have a area she can run walk in stay with her , use some word like make , let her know this is not play time. 3 when she goes lots of praise ( don't feed her ) a dogie treat OK! Play with her . When you are done back in the crate she goes. if she is use to sleeping with u this will take some strength from u ear plugs help ! live through this for about 6 weeks and yes house trained good luck.

Only Cagney & Harmony are even close: You need to confine her to a crate when you can't watch her---1 she can only stand up & turn around in---because most dogs will not step in their own mess....but cockers are notoriously dirty dogs. Amazing the breeder didn't give you instructions. Whatever. Be consistent & praise praise praise her when she goes outside---even use magic words when you see her circling or squatting. DO NOT USE A PEE PAD, DO NOT RUB HER NOSE IN HER MESS, START OBEDIENCE TRAINING IMMEDIATELY. She needs to see you as the leader in her home, & you have to shape her behaior, because cockers are prone to be submissive urinators. Clean up accidents with vinegar to neutralize ammonia in the urine. You may even stick an (unlit, of course) paper match up her rectum to start parastalsys---like a suppository----to get her to poop, and you'll have her trained in a few days if you also use magic words...because the dog not housebroken by the age of 6 months has only a slim chance of ever being reliable. The longer you go without a crate, allowing her to eliminate in the house, the more 'retraining you will have to do & the longer it will take.

The best way is to be consitent. You should put her out about every 15 to 30 minutes. use commands like "go potty" while she is sniffing around the yard. She won't go every time you put her out, but when she does, praise her for it.After a while she will understand what you want her to do and that she should only do it outside. Also, when an acccident happens say" no" loudly to gey her attention and put her outside in her potty area right away.

I would talk to a professional who knows Cockers, they can be easily intimidated. We got one and I tried to use the usual rub their nose in it trick and after than he just would just lie on the floor and pee himself every time I got close. I felt really bad. We finally found him a new home and he is doing ok

Keep her on a strict schedule. Feed her & take her out at the same time each day. Take her out about 20 minutes after feeding & stay with her until she goes, repeating your cue word (potty, out, etc) until she does...then lavish her with affection, petting her and excitedly saying your cue word again. After about two weeks, when you say your cue word, she should run for the door.

Pee pads you can buy them at any pet store or walmart you start training her in the house and once she knows to use the pee pads you move them closer and closer to the front door once you think she is ready you move the pee pad outside and in no time you can ditch the pads and she will know to just go out doors
