milks a blanket, chews on every stuffed animal he can get a hold of and chases after the pet rabbit? Any advice? He has been through k-9 training class prior to me getting him today. He is almost 2 years old.

He is crate trained and I just adopted him today. He came from a home where he had a playmate (another pug) same age. I moved the rabbit to another room and shut the door and he sniffs the door. He chews every stuffed animal we have within reach and barks at them. He also acts like he is milking a blanket and falls asleep doing it (is this just an age thing?)

if he's a new dog, you need to establish your rules. enroll him in a refresher class and take him yourself. there he will bond with you and learn you are to be respected and listened to. also get a crate and when you can observe him and he does the things you don't like tell him NO in a firm voice and make him come to you and sit. as for the rabbit, well he's a dog, he can learn not to chase it, but for the rabbit's safety put the rabbit up when the dog is out. good luck.

hey i have a pet rabbit and i have three dogs who hunt rabbits so what i say to do is put the rabbit up high or put a mussle on your dog its normal for them to go after the rabbit its interesting and hops around i have two puppies so i know how it feels to come home to a horrible mess my dog is crate trained and that helps alot its when ever u leave or cant pay attention to them they go into a crate but being crate trained means they wont bug u while they are in the crate they will just quietly lay there unless they are hungry or have to go the bathroom of course one of are dogs hates the crate well the metal ones but she loves the cloth ones cause they seem like a safe place to go when she has to.
