Anyone know a good name for a black labradoodle? I like Latin and Greek names and I don't want anything common like max or sam. It is very hard to decide a name when it is your dog!

dont rant on me about not going to a pound, shelter, rescue- im humane and loving it's just that i've had absolutely lovely experiences with purebreds, sorry!

in mid june of '07 we are looking to get a papillon (don't convince me to change my mind about the breed please).

anyway; we have a purebred golden which we kinda sorta got from a backyard breeder; where can we get a purebred papillon besides a place like that ?!

I am 13 years old. I really want a dog. We are a really active family. don't tell me i'm to young to have a dog because i am very responsible and my parents have agreed to let me have one if i do research and think about what breed is best for me. I am looking for a very energetic and active dog one that would be good at frisbee and agility. I would also like a running partner. Medium- large in size. i also probably couldn't get a very fancy breed because i am against puppy mills and back yard breeders so we would probably get the dog from the pound or a local rescue. I am just looking for a nice family dog that i can cuddle up with on the couch or go outside and play with. this dog would also have to be good with other dogs and just an all around nice breed. thank you very much. give me lots of suggestions.

The worms are pretty bad, she was vomiting them up and pooping them out, but now they're just coming with her poop. It's one day after she took Drontal.

He is a 3 year old german shepherd. He is very sweet annd affecionate to me and my family as well as strangers and other dogs. Sometimes when I am petting him and talking to him he does a low growl and seems scared If I play with him roughly he never bited me hard and is very gentle. I do not like the growling and want it to stop. He does it when he has a bone too. If I try to scold him or hit him to make him stop he just growls louder. I have taken his toys away when he growls at me and he never bites me but Ido not know what to do. I have tried pining him on his back to show him I am the dominate one but he just keeps growling. What can I do?

I have a small male lhasa opso. He has always had really bad eye boogers (for lack of a better term). He has them clumped on the fur about a 1/2 inch under his eye. I always see him pawing at them and i try to get them out with a tissue but they are too embeded in his fur and he hates when i try to get rid of them. I need to snip the clump off but he hates siscors and i am afraid i might nip him or something. i plan on taking him to the groomer tomorrow but is there anyway to prevent this problem or take care of it at home?

I have a 10yr old Chocolate Labrador. She has Arthritis in her hips. I have been getting METACALM from the vet, but this is costing an absolute fortune! Please don't get me wrong, I adore her, and would pay the earth to make her better! But was wondering if anyone knew of any other remedies/alternatives, that are slightly cheaper! I am at present paying £20 per week.

Adopting a 16 month old dog and not crazy about her name. Would like to change if it doesn't mess her up. Advice?

She is a 5 year old female beagle. She foams at the mouth, paces, drools and will not calm down while in the car, even for a short trip. I have had to sedate her if we are to be in the car for any length of time. She has always been a little hyper; she took her metal create apart, chewed the molding around the door and the edge of the carpet. What can I do, our other dog, a 4 month old male Corgi, is very 'laid-back". We thought that another dog might help to calm her down, but it hasn't affected her at all. We are at a loss as to what to try next, I would appreciate any help from anyone out there. Thanks! Reply to: lgkersey@frontiernet.net

The pup belongs to an elderly friend who is wheelchair bound. She got him this spring to replace her old German shepherd (she still has the older dog and they play together great). However the pup is constantly getting into trash, tools, anything that can be dragged off and chewed on. He has been neutered, and is well-fed and has his own toys that he likes to chew on. The dogs have several acres to run free on as well. I think he's just bored. What are some solutions?
