She had them the wednesday before Christmas (December 20th, 2006) and they're cute and all....but when can I stop using clean rubber gloves to touch them? Plus she smells HORRIBLE because we've beenn scared to wash her because her babies might not recognize he scent.

i dont want them to fight in the future and i just want them to be really good friends. last night, when my 4 yr old lab/rott mix neutered dog met my cousin's male pitbull pup he sniffed the puppy all over and played with him for a while then after 5 mins, when the puppy tries to play with him again, he growled really loud! and that scared me to get a male american bulldog pup! any suggestions?? was that just normal?? and... later on will they get along and be good friends?

So I'm getting this new puppy soon and I don't know what to name it. I thought maybe I could get some ideas here. I don't want to describe the dog because I don't want to name her based on her color or something...yeah it's a girl though. I really want a unique name. I was thinking about some of these: Church, Amity, Asia, Cujo (haha), or Fancy.

I don't know though. I want something cool. I don't really care if it's a 'dog' name or not. Just give me ideas or tell me what you think of mine! Thank you!!!

I have posted MANY questions about dogs and pit bulls. And at this moment in my life i can not afford a dog, but i still look just for fun, even though i am basically torturing myself. Do you think this dog is Absolutely Beautiful!? He sounds perfect. I want him sooo bad, but i can't have him. I had to hold myself back from going and visiting him because i know i would have brought him home.

Recue dog, one other dog in the house. Peeiing in same spot over and over. Tried everything I can think of. Getting new carpet and don't want same pattern to continue. HELP! We are at a point where we may have to get rid of her, I love her and wouldn't want to do that...I am desperate.

There are so many questions here each day that you have to look at and ask yourself, "What were they thinking?"

They get the answers to them that range from, "You're and idiot," to "This is what you do....." to everything inbetween! Some of the questions and answers are so dangerous that you don't know how to react! (I am still stuck on the person who said you can use Sevan dust on 4 week old puppies!)

So what is the right thing to do? Should we help these people? Even though they probably should never own a pet to begin with? Should we tell them to go to the vet, even though we know that they probably won't?

What is the right thing to do?

I really love all hounds! I have a basset hound and she's the best dog for our family. I have taken quite an interest in bloodhounds. All that loose skin and those long floppy ears. They look like they would be such a fun dog to have. I don't really know much about them though. Are they good family dogs? Are they laid back or do they need a lot of exercise? Do they have annoying habits? Pros and Cons of them. Thanks
