One is very good, however on occasions the other urinates in their cage, and despite the consevatory doors being open will urinate and soil in the consevatory, although this is only occasinally, it is if he is trying to be defiant. Of the two dogs he is the most subservient. Any ideas on how we can resolve this, he is a very affectinate dog. Is this a problem of having two puppies at the same time ?. The problem dog is 19 days older.

I'm trying to get my puppy used to coming to work with me. Since I first got him he has been in the office with me, just in his cage, so he is used to the sounds and everything.

I'm trying to get him used to being out. So, I put his big fluffy bed in with us and also leave his cage open if he wants to go in. The problem is, he will chew and/or eat everything in sight. So, it is hard to get any work done. We have a few toys that keeps his interest, a durable Nylabone, a hard plastic bone that you freeze with water, ice cubes, and sometimes his plastic keys from nylabone. He also has some stuffed Backyardigans that he enjoys, but they don't keep his interest as much and he usually needs someone to play with him.

I hate that the only things that interest him make him chew so aggressivley. Does anyone have any ideas for toys that would be more low keyed for him, but keep his attention?

We will be heading to Pets Mart today, so if I could get them there, that would be great.

TY

my best friend called to say she just accidently ran over a small poodle. She was going 43 ( 45's the limit) on a busy street. the dog came from somewhere off a mediam nearby and ran right under the font of her left tire. she tried to stop, but was only a matter of seconds. it wasnt like the dog was right in front of her for 10 seconds. she tried to find a way to pull over, but the traffic was so bad there was no where. she found a bank and pulled over. by the time she did that, cars finally stopped and the owner was picking her up. The owner ran to her car and sped off by the time my friend go there. My friend is going nuts, crying, b/c she doesnt know what to do. I told her she's okay, and nothing will happen to her. The dog wasnt on a leash, and the owner apparently was chasing it. There was no time for my friend to completely stop before hitting it. Is she okay? Or should she call the cops? No one at the scene did...She lives in VA if that helps...

She has always been around other dogs, and had no problem. Now, she is EXTREMELY territorial...she will not let any other dogs near her, or the house. Dogs she has been raised with, she is now snipping at. What could be going on ?

dog has been perfect.... no accidents in four years... well cared for, frequent walks, no change in diet, no change in appearance of poops, but when we got up in a.m. the last three days, there were poop piles each day. no other behavior changes.

I am in the process of breeding shitzu mix dogs. I have witness the mating. But the dogs were never tied. Can she still get pregnant.

When someone asks a question about a mixed breed dog, why do you attack them? To me it just seems mean spirited, no better than racism. Why can't someone enjoy a dog regardless of what breed or mixed breed it is? (I know I know, the overpopulation of dogs in shelters) But to be honest, there have been articles of shelters actually getting dogs from out of their area because there aren't enough to keep it going... isn't the idea to put a shelter out of business (ie get all of the dogs a home), not have it outsource homeless dogs from other areas? I'm sure I will get some negative feed back for this one... but just from those "dog racists". I think I made my point.
