How many puppies on average are born to a 1st time mother Jackrussel terrier?

She would probably have around 2-3...because Jack Russels are a small dog and having a lot of puppies may harm her. Jack Russels aren't known for very large litters.

She could have up to 4 puppies the first time..my uncle raises jrt's and this time she had 6 puppies.It all depends.Good luck

A lot would depend on how many times she was bred and if it was at the optimum times in her cycle - 4 - 5.
