How old is your dog? Sometimes a reluctance to play is a sign of arthritis pain. Worth considering, anyway. Best of luck to you...

Maybe your dog has the winter blues. I don't want to go outside at this time either. The days are shorter and everyone and everything seems to go into slow gear at this time. If she doesn't seem sick, then i wouldn't worry about it. If there are other behavioural changes then I'd take her to see the vet. Or maybe your dog is just maturing and is not as interested in play. Try playing some new games or teaching her some new tricks, she could be bored. Be patient but persistent with her and I'm sure you'll discover the problem.

Anytime a normally active dog is not active. Something is wrong. Have her checked by a vet.

She sounds like she is lonely or board. Does she have a companion? Does she stay by herself most the day? How old is she?

Well you should warm her up with a nice walk. Then play fetch. By then she might want to play.

there could a number of factors such as age, illness, developing bone and joint problems. Best think to do is take her to the vet and see what your vet has to say.
