One of our greatest dogs was a Rottweiler and although I have a Lab and a Pit Bull now I would without a doubt get a Rottweiler again. They are one of the smartest and loyalest of all breeds. Our was amazing she was highly intelligent, protective yet loving. She was 110% loyal and dedicated to our family and her fur family. She loved cats and would protect them from other animals. It use to make me laugh these cats loved her and would sleep with her for hours. They are really one of the greatest breeds but it is awful that they have gotten a bad rap. There are NO bad dogs only bad owners. But I love the protection and dedication she gave with all of her heart.

I don't own a Rottie, but I wouldn't hesitate to Adopt one.
I've met a few Rotties and they're very sweet, and so cute!
I don't know why some breeds get a bad rap, like people always say "Punish the deed, not the breed". I mean in a way that's like if a Latino person killed a guy then does it mean that all Latinos are bad?! No it doesn't, I just think discriminating a certain breed is so stupid.

I few up with a rottie who was the sweetest dog we have ever known. she loved to play, lay around and sleep with the cats. She did get a little fat though, but hey, even on a diet and weighing in at 120 pounds she was a huggable sweetheart. She passed away in March of 2006, at the age of 13. She was a great dog and is the reason my love for Rots is so strong.

Rotties are indeed sweethearts, great big cuddlebugs! And wonderful service dogs as well. I know of one who is owned by a lady who uses a wheelchair. She is a lawyer, and her Rottie carries her briefcase for her, pushes doors open for her and goes to court with her. He is a certified service dog, so he is allowed in. He just lays there under the table during the trial, never a peep out of him. He probably knows as much as most of the lawyers!

I don't own a rottie, but I love them. They're big and sweet, handsome, and smart. Plus I can't turn a dog down just because of breed :)
