Hi there. Go to the animal shelter or Humane Society and make a walk through. Do this several times over a period of time. Many times, the perfect dog picks you. Have a dog gone great year.

I think you should go to your local humane society and find a pet there. There are many different breeds and you can spend some time there if you ask the people working about there temperment. However, if you are a busy person a dog might not be for you. If thats the case remember that cats are more independent and do not need constant care.

Like someone else said. It is your choice of preference. If you have room for a big dog, I like nuefferlands. Very easy going. But if you need a small dog, I like cocker Spaniels. But those smaller dogs yipe to much for me. Also go to the Shelter and check them all out. You will have a feeling of which one will work for you. Believe me. you will know in your heart.

Go to www.akc.org to research different dogs. When you are ready to get one, go to www.petfinder.com. They list the dogs from your area shelters and give you insight on their dispositions such as if they get along with other dogs, children, need a lot of attention, etc.

If you are looking for a small dog get a Schnauzer,if you want a big dog get a lab.

go to the pound or shelter and save one from being killed because no one wants unknown breeds of animals. And the Heinz 57 is usually the most reliable dog there is.

research to see what type is good for you, you may want a small dog, or a big dog, a white, Grey, black or if there is a cert en breed you want, look into it. I have a mini Schnauzer, she is amazing!

No one here can advise you what type of dog to get. We dont know your curcumstances at home.. We all have our favourates but they may not fit with you.
Go to the animal shelter and see what is there..
