Im moving to a condo thats 1200SQF. and my girlfriend and i want to get a small mellow dog. i have an older rot who is very mellow now, so i dont want a small hyper dog pissing her off. We are thinking Miniature pincher??

I noticed that my 60lb Border Collie / Akita Wolf likes margine better than his dry dog food. Friends say this oily stuff is no good for him. I also notice that if he does not like something, he definitely avoids it (eg. fruits+veggies, anything that smells vinegar or alcohol etc) Of course his best food is meat and bones (cooked!)

Seing as though some wankers think they are some how tuff for having a vicious dog would it be a good idea to see if it shuold be killed or not HERES MY IDEA :: Dont feed the dog for a week only give water then put the dog and owner in a cage and if the owner can control their dog they can keep it but if the dog turns on their owner their will be people their to fill the dog with lead SHUOLD THIS BE A LAW TOO MANY PEOPLE DIE EACH YEAR CAUSE OF DOG ATTACKS

My friend has a Jack Russell Terrier and she ate about 4 grams. She just called me on the phone frantic, I have no idea what to do. Any help would be great. Oh and one more thing her dog just had puppys and is still nursing them.

I know they go poop im not dumb, i mean he is new to his enviroment he is 5 years old. i took him for 4 "walks" in the past 6 hours to go either pee or poop and he hasnt done any. when will he go and when should i get worried? he isnt scared in his new place he is actually sleeping right now. if anyone could let me know it would be apreciated. thanks

Does this annoy you? it annoys me SO much when parents let their chidren run wild and up to my dog. One day their child is going to get bitten and the poor dog is going to get the blame.

my 5 year old dog has urinated a couple of times on her bed - overnight, possibly in her sleep. not a little leak, a large amount of urine. it has happened 2 or 3 times in the past 6 months. she is otherwise happy and healthy, although a little insecure sometimes (what dog isn't!!). should I see a vet?

Hey all. My boyfriends family have just got a 7 week old puppy from a rescue home, she had been abandoned so they did not know what breed she is. They suggested that she might be some sort of spaniel terrier cross, but when she went to the vet they thought she was some sort of border collie cross. She is very sweet natured and loves to chew everything. She is chocolatey/tan brown and has a white belly and paws. She also has little fur on her lower belly...so some people have suggested she might have some staffie in her. She has quite a long, thin tail. She has quite a pointed face and fluffy ears. She is pretty small but since she is so young we don't know how big she will get! She loves tug of war games and shaking toys in her mouth, which suggests she might be some sort of terrier. He keeps licking it almost as if it itches. Then he barks because it hurts. I think if he continues, it will become raw. What made him start doing this? Could he really only have one testicle? What about getting him neutered? Could that help? I don't know what to do! Any help would be great. I am taking him to the vet in two days, they are closed. Should I get him snipped?

Ok guys. I know I asked this same question earlier but we are still trying to decide and I asked a question the other day about this and since then we have come up with 3 names we like. He is a 7wk old black labradoodle puppy. The first name is Sirus (Sie-rus). I like this name because it is strong, easy to call, and masculine. The second name is Ozzy. This is the name my mother likes and is sort of a neutral between mine and my sisters. The third is Cosmo. It is ok, buy my sis is the one that likes it the most. I think we will get tired of it after so many years but I thought I would see what you guys have to say. Also if you have some names throw them at me. Thanks!!

We are looking for a huskyx and a cocker type dog. Our local paper only has labs and shitzu puppies and our local shelter only has older border colliex that we are not interested in. As a last resort I checked the pet store and none of the ones in my area sell Husky size dogs we would rather not get a dog from a pet store.

i use to give my dog nips of scotch in its water and it made it settled down but i lost my job and cant afford it any more now he gets angry and picks fights with the neibours and their two dogs. seing as i dont have much money i started giving him some metheleyted spirits its like 95% alc and that settles him. but one day i went out on a job hunt and he got the bottle down and drunk a fair bit of it dunno why it tastes like cr ap when i got home he was passed out under my bed i took him to the vet and they pumped his guts then the basterd reported me to the RSPCA i took the dog home then the next day these two blokes come to my house and took my dog beceause i was apparently mistreating it. i didnt want this to happen when they left i got im my car and went after them i over took them on the road and flogged the brakes on then their panel van went sailing up my **** they pulled over and checked for damage i then grabed my dog and took off home. will i get in trouble i love my dog HELP

i have a yorkie and i used to give her commericial dog food and stopped using that after it gave her problems so now i feed her royal canin yorkie 28 dog food (hard crunchy) and i give her chicken breasts cut up on top.. im gonna ask my vet if thats alright but do u think shes getting enough?

dont they realise that's why dogs attack kids. Dogs are used to looking up at us and when a tiny version of us comes running up, arms flailing and making giggling noises, the dog retaliates because it is scared. Please teach your kids it is wrong to approach a dog without first asking the owner if it is ok.

I have been taking him every hour and 1/2. He is doing very well with this, and Im also using a crate (which he is perfect in now).
In fact, there have been no accidents in the house or crate for 24 hours already. And we have only had him a day and 1/2.
When could I add a worn towel or blanket with him in his crate, I have read to wait like 5 days with no accidents?

But, at max he's getting about 4-5 hours out of the day to play with us out of his crate. Is that enough for him? Or is that not? I usually bring him out to potty when he wakes in his crate, if he goes outside, I'll play with him for at least a half hour, let him cuddle with me for about 15 min. then put him back in.
And also, he is so smart, in almost a day he has already gotton the hang of sit, and up....!
