I induced vomiting with hydrogen peroxide. The medicine is a barbituate. How long do I have to wait before I can relax and know my dogs are O.K.?

Ellie has been outside with my sons for a couple of hours late this afternoon. She was with them the whole time. When she came in, she vomited. My son then gave her water and she vomited again. She's just laying around now (which could just be because she is worn out from vomiting). Of course I am calling the vet in the morning, but what can we do in the meantime. There are no 24 hour emergency vets in our hick town.

additional info: She is a 3&1/2 month old Akita. She had vaccines and was dewormed last week.

My next door neighbor has been acting really weird ever since I have lost my dog she never talks to me and when the day he got lost she was the one who told me that my dog was missing. I don't keep my dog in the backyard and so I how would she know he went missing?

I have been researching toy breeds for quite some time, trying to figure out which toy breed would fit my needs best. I'm usually working 8 hours a day (forty hours per week) and I have no other pets, so I'm looking for a dog that will be okay by itself while I'm at work. Other characteristics that I'm looking for in my new pet is that it is small (preferably under 10 lbs), is friendly with other people/animals, loves to sit in my lap, and is not an obsessive barker. I live in an apt complex right now and I don't think my neighbors would appreciate a loud dog barking all day while I'm a work. Any ideas on what toy breed may be right for me?

Our 13 week old Boxer X was coming along very well with house training when we got him at 8 weeks. Crate training took some work, but even after only 2 nights he would sleep in it up to 7hrs straight through the night with no problems.

Lately he has been peeing in the house more when roaming during "play time" and even after going for regular walks he will pee again not long after coming inside.

We've decided to return to basics and have him spend more time in his crate to force him to hold it as he easily can through the night. However, he will pee in his crate right in front of us (today after he peed 3 times on his walk 20min before going into his crate). There is no blanket, it is sectioned off and he definitely doesn't mind the crate as he will go in on his own for his own quiet time.

So why, when we put him in while we're home, does he still pee in it?

She is a healthy 2 year old Rat Terrier and I want to breed her but I'm kind of hesitating because I don't know if it's a good idea.

She would like a small dog, one that doesn't shed and one that doesn't have to be groomed a lot. Also good around small kids. Any suggestions? :)
Thanks!

Myself and partner regularly have chocolate cornflake clusters, our dog goes mad and always trys to sneak one when we are not looking. I dont allow her any as the chocolate is bad for her. If she is allowed cornflakes then i am prepared to make her some dog ones with dog chocolate but i am unsure if corn is safe for her to have. Could someone help please?

i have a 12 week old black lab puppy. my boyfriend found her and brought her home, and she doesn't like being seperated from us. however, she whines at night when we put her in her kennel to sleep. how can i get her to quit whining at night and still keep her in the kennel? i've tried everything from ignoring her to putting a blanket in there with her to giving her toys and whatnot else.

He is not completely bald (sporatic baldness), but his fur feels different from my other Min Pin (wirey) and his skin is very dry. Also, after bathing him, he begins to smell again, not offensive, but like he hasn't had a bath. We only bath them every month. I don't have an issue with my other Min Pin. She smells good for weeks and has a soft full coat of fur. Anyone please help?

I am contemplating adopting a Great Pyrenees/ Labrador mix from a local animal shelter. I'm aware they are quite large, but most people I've spoken to don't know what kind of temperament they have or space requirements. Is the Great Pyrenees/Labrador a good house dog?
