Three months is the earliest. That is 12 weeks.

MANY people AND vets prefer to wait and NOT give it with another vaccine, but it CAN be given at 12 weeks.
Right on the back of a tank vial of Merial Imrab 3 it states:

"Imrab 3 is recommended for the vaccination of healthy cats, dogs, sheep, cattle, horses, and ferrets 12 weeks of age and older for the prevention of disease due to rabies virus."

IT CAN and IS given at 12 weeks. If given AFTER that it is personal/vet choice, but an animal can be vaccinated for rabies at 12 weeks.
I am looking at the box right now!!!!!!!

She should not have a rabies vacciantion until she is at least 20 weeks old.Despite the wording on drug labels extensive studies have been done on rabies vacciantions as well as other vacciantions and it is now being advised taht puppies should NOT be vaccianted under 20 weeks of age nor at the same time as other vacciantions. There should be at least 2 weeks between the rabies vaccination and any other vacciantions.

As for other vacciantions the protocol is:

distemper/parvo/canine hepatitis/ adenovirus-2 8-9 weeks
distemper/parvo/canine hepatitis/adenovirus-2 12-14 weeks
distemper/parvo/canine hepatitis/adenovirus-2 16-18 weeks

rabies 20 weeks or older

one year after date of last vacciantion a booster and then none again for 3 years

Lepto, parainfluenza & Lymes vacciantions might be needed in some areas but not in all and are not core vacciantions. They are usually not necassary. Lepto carries a high rate of adverse reactions.

Coronavirus, adenovirus-1 & are NOT recommended.

This is current protocol from AAHA/AVMA and is being taught at all 27 vet schools. for more info go to Dr. Jean Dods site or the AAHA site.

Puppies should NEVER be vaccianted under 7 weeks of age preferably 8 weeks...it interfers with theri natural immunity and can cause future problems including immune system.

Most puppies get their first shots @8wks. old, although some may do it a few weeks earlier than that. This is not the rabies shot tho. This is a combination shot called DHLPP(diptheria, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvovirus, & parainfluenza). This is repeated 2x's more at 2 to 4 wk. intervals until the 3 shot series is completed. This shot is to be updated with an annual booster. Most rabies vaccinations are given at 6 months old, then another in a year. Ask your vet if it is necessary for boosters to be given every yr. or every 3 yrs. thru your dogs adult life. Rabies vaccines are absolute requirements when licensing you dog.

You need to start the puppy on its Distemper/Parvo shots at 8 weeks. Those will need to be boostered once a month for two more sets of shots. (8-12-16 weeks) and at 16 weeks is when the Rabies is given. They wont give it earlier than that at most places. Good luck and I hope this helps

14 weeks for rabies, but she will need a lot of other ones before that. 7 weeks is the right time to start off. It's really important to get the parvo, distemper, and corona shots. My puppy is 5 months now, but I got her when she was 8 weeks (2months). I asked the same questions. I received a lot of information from Banfield Pet Hospital (inside of PetsMarts).
Keep her away from any other dogs until she's had shots up to at least 10 weeks.

Before a rabies vaccine, pups need to have all their others vaccines first. The state laws govern when it's time for your pup to have a rabies shot. It can vary between 3 to 6 months, depending on the state in which you live. If you live in Hawaii, you dog does not need a rabies vaccines, b because it is the only state where rabies is non-existent.

Your pup should have its first set of vaccinations now, a booster in about a month and the final vaccinations at approximately 16 weeks. The last set of vaccinations includes rabies. Don't get them earlier than 12 - 14 weeks (some vets do them that early) because the pup's body is not ready to process the rabies vaccine.

Your puppy needs puppy shots first. The rabies shots aren't given until 6 months of age.

rabies shots are given at 5 months of age
first puppy shots are usually given between 6-8 weeks they include DHP-P, Leptospirosis, and bordetella, which is given through the nose in drop form (if you are going to take her around unfamiliar dogs, such as at a training class)
the first two shots are given again one month later
hope this helps!
