Had it done on a kitten. It was successful. Cost a lot. You would need to see the specialist and have them give you an estimate and the odds that the pup would make it. The kitten I had done was not very severe, so he was in fairly good shape when it was done.

I had a puppy a couple of years ago with that problem.
The vet recommended surgury. It was going to cost a lot of money. Over $5000. Then there were no gaurentees that the puppy would survive very long.
My husband and I were struggling financially, at the time.
The vet wouldn't accept small monthly payments. We tried other vets. They wouldn't accept a payment plan with payments low
enough to be affordable.
In the end, we had the puppy euthanised.
