I noticed that my 60lb Border Collie / Akita Wolf likes margine better than his dry dog food. Friends say this oily stuff is no good for him. I also notice that if he does not like something, he definitely avoids it (eg. fruits+veggies, anything that smells vinegar or alcohol etc) Of course his best food is meat and bones (cooked!)

Bad. Very bad. It's not good for you, either. Sure he may like the taste but it is not at all nutritious and can clog his arteries and raise his cholesterol, just like a human. It could also give him the runs. Buy a good brand of dog food, you can also mix some canned food with the dry, but don't leave it out too long or it will go bad and attract bugs and other vermin. Feed your dog food designed for dogs. He may resist for a while if he is used to "people food", but when he gets hungry enough he will eat what is available. And he will live a longer, healthier life because of having proper nutrition. Good luck to you!!

It's idiotic to give a dog cooked bones! They are too weak and could easily splinter in his mouth and when swallowed will go down like glass.

Do not give your dog human food. Especially something like margarine, that isn't even found in nature.

BTW - some people make their own dog food using raw meat, NOT COOKED... if your dog was in the wild, he wouldn't cook his dinner...

Non the less, stick to dog food only.

You aren't seriously asking if you should feed your dog butter are you?

No, don't feed the dog margarine. It's essentially whipped oil.

Margerine isn't good for anyone, man or beast. And since you know nothing about animals, get him Old Roy dogfood at walmart--it's cheap and nutritious. No sweets or scraps. Best of luck.
