She came to see me yesterday and said your cat comes in my garden I know I shouldn't encourage him but he's soooo nice, can I feed him? so I said if you feed him then you also pay his vets bills if he has to go to them!!!Am I being harsh?
I was rather upset because I hand reared him and he's now 3 and only gone away from home because of her!

One of them has got it and loves blended kitten food with kitty milk and has happily eaten a few chunks of kitty food, the other don't seem that interested even though we have given them tasters with a syringe. Any ideas??? Also even if we feed mum and the kittens the same food she just gobbles theirs and leaves hers for later.
Also how soon can we get them litter trained - we have not even seen a kitten poo!!

He usually wants to and i let him but its not safe so i dont want him to anymore, were really driving each other crazy, I want to hold him, but hes pissed and hasen't let me hold him for days and wont let me touch him. He usually would leave for 2 days then return and sleep for a day then love me for a day and then leave again. Are cats smart enough to play outside safe? He has toy and i try to play with him but he really loves the out doors. Please help our failing relationship :)

My little cat, called Mini, I found abandonned in the cold, snowy streets of our nearby town. She was approaching each person in turn and appealing to them to save her,but no one took any notice, except me.When I picked her up she weighed nothing. Her eyes were sunken and without any shine atall. She must have been weeks trying to survive alone.
However, now perfectly recuperated and with eyes as big and round as those of an Owl, I have discovered that what I thought was a just a simple little Siamese Cat has become Big Boss over the household! She tells when I have to get up,(but by judging it frothe number of hours I have slept, not according to the hour. Also she seems to have a built-in "Snooze".If I don`t get up immediately then I`m reminded every ten mins.) I`m told when it`s time to make lunch and informed if the telephone is ringing or someone is calling at the door, (I`m partially deaf,) and, of course, I`m told when it`s time to go to bed!
Has anyone a cat like mine?

where I can find an original branding iron to brand my sisters cats. She's got three and sometimes they get out. They hate wearing collars, and look like "general" type cats so we need to be able to distinguish them. Where can I get a small cattle branding iron that I can use on them?

So here is the situation. We just got a kitten, a little over 24 hours ago. About two hours ago, we noticed somethng moving around on him. We could not catch it, so we gave him a bath and found what the problem was, A FLEA! We found another one in a coat that he liked to sleep in but other then that, thats all we found. We have now vacuumed the whole house, and out futon. Whipped down the chairs that he sat in.... and are now washing all the covers, and clothes. We do have another cat, but she didnt like the kitten so she stayed away.... we are still going to give her a bath for the night, and tomorrow we are going to get the medication. Is there any medication anyone recommends? Is there anything else we should do to our house?

Are we freaking out too much... or not enough? Please let us know.......

I just had my cat spayed. The vet said the surgery was fine except that part of the breathing tube was still in my cat's windpipe or esophagus and that the cat would throw it up once her throat was no longer numb. Its been a full day and a half since the spay and my cat has not thrown up the tube. When she purs or breathes deeply you can hear a kind of "growling" noise, that makes it sounds like there is something still in her throat. So basically, I am wondering if it is possible to leave a piece of the breathing tube in the cat's throat after a spay, or if I just misheard the vet and its normal for the cat to sound hoarse after she had a breathing tube? If any one has had this problem with their cat, how long did it take for the cat to vomit the tube up?

I have 10 cats and generally just use carpet powder and flea shampoo. It works fine. It does not prevent flea but after I use it they die. My vet told me flea shampoos can be absorbed into the body and can be harmful. I know flea colars are bad but I have never heard anything about flea shampoos. My vetraniarian is a very knowlegble person and I trust her opinion but I would like to get a few second opinions. It is soooo darn expensive to buy Frontline and it seems silly to when shampoo and carpet powder kills the fleas. But if it is best for my cats, then I will happily spend the money for frontline.

Seriously, she has very long, fluffy, light, floating hair. Instead of continually rolling my clothes/bed/couch I decided to try just getting her directly. She doesn't seem to mind (if she did, she'd obviously run away from me). Am I harming her?

I got my 6 week old kitten, Lexi, a new toy. The kind with a ring with a ball in it. My big boy Cornbread (in the avatar) is showing her how to play with it! He'll slap the ball then let her. It's adorable! Especially since my other 2 cats don't care much for her. Does he need a hug or what?

She sems content, staying close to me at all times, purring. Doesn't seem to be in pain. She has had many litters, some of them long, drawn-out affairs, some quick. She is 11 years old. the last few litters have had only 1 or 2 kittens. Last time the first one was born dead, second kitten was fine. i think she's probably tired. i'll try massaging her belly, teets, and see if there's a change. What about phenylanalyne to help jump-start labor again, or pennyroyal tea? Any advice other than go to a vet? I tried to have her spayed, but the vet said her breathing stopped after sedation when she was laid on her back, so he didn't perform the surgery. Something in her lungs that didn't respond to antibiotics. She's on my lap as I type this. I don't have the money to spend on a vet, and our locals do not make payment arrangements under any circumstances!

Okay. I'm not sure of the exact age of the kitten, but it's gotta be AT LEAST two weeks old. It has already opened its eyes and it is able to move around a little. But it seems really weak, it is breathing really hard, it isn't really moving around(it can, but all it seems to want to do is just lay there), it looks like it has something grown over its eye(part of the eye seems to be to far over), it is really listless(it's not meowing or making any kind of noise), it isn't really responding to sound of any sort, and it just SEEMS all together to be sad. Add to that, its mother WAS grooming it a LITTLE, but she is not feeding it(that I have seen) and she is(for the time being) no where to be seen , she just left her kitten out in the open. I'm not sure what all of this means, and I'm not sure what to do about it. Could anyone PLEASE give me advice on what to do, or, at the least, refer me to a website or somewhere I can get information about this. Please and thank you for any help.

My cat is 21. The last few days he has been acting really different. He can not walk, he tries to but can's get up. When I try to help him he just takes one step and falls over. He has arthritus, but it's not that bad and he already takes medicine for it.When he is sleeping, he doesn't close his eyes all of the way. His whole body twiches a lot. When he mows, it's a lot quiter and higher pitched. He is eating though. He ate and drank quite a bit. Please help me. I love this cat more than anything!!! If hes not dying, what else could it be???
