He is very good when I'm home but I have a sneaky suspicion that he is marking my house when I'm gone I don't want to put him in a cage. I am home most of the time it's only when I leave him and the female jack russell home alone. What can I do about this?

I have a 3 year old inside cat who likes to go outside. We make her stay on a leash (she does great with this) but today she got out and no one knew till i got off work and she ran up to me. She was outside alone for 3 hours. Should I let her go outside loose now that I know she will come back or is it to dangerous? We live by a busy road, and have cats and dogs in the neighborhood. I'm very nervous about he being outside and getting hurt. Am i being an overprotective cat owner? She is fixed so no chance of kittens.

My cat was 21 this month. I would like to pre empt any health problems. He is fully active and appears to have all of his faculties in order. He purrs a lot, but nothing else out of the ordinary. I would like to keep him fit and well as long as I can. Any advice?

My cat MAY be diagnosed with bone cancer more than likely - before cats die, do they often switch places in which they sleep? My cat now sleeps behind the couch or under the computer desk, its scaring me, is this normal behavior? Did it just get bored of the other spots? I don't want my cat to die..

We have two cats, and we know that one of them has tapeworms because we can see the little rice-like segments. The other one does not have these, but should I treat him anyways? I would think that since the worms are transferred by fleas (we just treated them for that too), that they both would have worms.

Any thoughts?

Is it safe to use a flea treatment on a pregnant cat? She is appx 2-3 weeks. Can't remember the name but it's the one they put on the back of the cat's neck. Many thanks!

So right now it is not on any treatment, but what is the best option for cats with FIV, the last time he was down like that was in December last year and recovered from his illness and gained a Kilogram in weight from 3.9Kg to 5kg. but now his weight appears to be dropping again and weighs at 4.8kg.

Take him to vet sounds very logic, not all of us can affoard huge bills, vets have the monopoly, just to see the cat would cost me over £50.00 plus any medications. The last time the vet reccomended blood transfusion that he said would cost me over £1000.00 and I walked away from the vet with my cat, and I prayed for his health and somehow he appeared to have gained strength of his own, but is not being active indicates something may be wrong again, so may be I can give him some anti-viral drug or antibiotics like the Amoxillin in no more than 50mg doze in his food. His mouth is producing thick saliva smelling foul. He is eating well, anything else I can give him to uplift his health

I am such a loser, lol! I miss my cat as soon as I leave the house! At the moment he lives with my boyfriend and I only get to see him every 2 weeks because I'm at Uni in a different town to where he lives. I miss him a lot!

Does anyone else miss their cat when they go out?

I've been thinking about getting one. What is your cat's personality like? Are they really friendly and affectionate? Do you have a male or a female?

Currently we wear lots of protective gear, lather him up while he's dry then rinse him. Rinsing is the toughest since he goes nuts. I hear that there's a special bathing 'cage' for cats?

My lovely 18 year old cat has been showing signs of age moreso recently (she already has thyroid prob & also had eye removed a year ago!) Suddenly a few days ago her abdoman was swollen & she was more wobbly than usual. The vet did a test of the fluid (this is slowly poisoning her body!) and we knew it wouldn't be good news. Charlie has cancerous lump & I think an operation would not be best thing for her (unless anyone has experience of this and knows better?) At the moment she can slowly get to her litter tray, and she's also eating a little and drinking. I hug her a lot and she still purrs...but has anyone had this happen to their cat and what is the next stage likely to be? I wouldn't want her to get stressed if she can't get to the litter tray on time or she starts being sick...would it be better to put her to sleep before it gets to that stage, or only WHEN it gets worse for her...oh crikey, this is horrible, so please, any advice from anyone would be most appreciated.
