I went out and bought kitty milk and a dropper i have had it in my house for about 3 hours i called the humane society and they told me to put the kitten back where i found it and the mother should come back to get her, so i did. its getting late and cold about 50 degrees F. Its been about 45 min. and i can still hear the kitten crying. how long can a newborn kitten stay outside by its self? THE HUMANE SOCIETY WONT COME AND GET HER.

We had a cat that got really sick a few months ago. It started with what looked like an infection in her mouth, almost like her mouth was rotting. Then she quit eating and got really skinny. The vet said it looked like a tumor and that she was old and nothing could be done. We eventually had to have her put down. Now my other cat is getting the same thing. I dont think its conicidence that two old cats would get the same thing in a matter of months. Any ideas of what this is?

The vet can't find anything wrong with her. Ran multiple blood tests and nothing is wrong. She's losing up to 1/2 pound every 3 days. She's skin and bones. She eats like a horse. We ran a thyroid test and she's fine there. The vets are at a loss and she's so weak now, we're considering putting her down. I'm hoping someone out there has experienced this and can help. I know I'm reaching here, but someone please help if you can.

I am feeling the abdomen/stomach area. It feels very tight. Is there something I should be looking for or hearing for? He seems to be breathing regular. I don't hear fluids when I press on his side, and he doesn't seem bothered when I touch it. He has loose skin towards the groin that seems fatty or it could be the protein liquid buildup. Not sure, but will be seeing a vet - just wanted some more professional opinions. I can include any more details as I read replies.

I have owned dogs all my life but i now live in a flat and would like a cat. This is my situation, what do you think:-

It must be an indoor cat. It will be left alone between 9 & 5 (is this ok?) Will it get lonely, I want to adopt a rescue cat obviously they come with thier little habits are most cats house trained? Do they naturally use a litter tray. On the odd occasion it will have to go into a cattery for a day or two, would this be cruel for a rescue cat?

Just anything you can tell me about having indoor cats will be a great help

I am getting really worried as I research FIP that my cat has this terminal illness. Should there have been steps taken and information about this cat given to me before he was adopted? I paid for him to be neutered but since he had a cold when I took him home, he could not get the operation, and I was told that he would recover in a few weeks. We payed about $80.00 for the cat including the antibiotics and neutering. I am obviously not getting him neutered if he is terminally ill.

I am really just furious and would like my money back. What the heck, I thought I had a healthy cat. We already spent about $500 on cat accessories and now we won't have a cat, not to mention the pain and suffering.

I feel that we were screwed over and not told things...and not to mention the fact that our friends and realtives may give their cats a this disease if they don't wash their hands - its highly contagious.

There's this cat that's been hanging around the dorms as of late and some of my friends brought her in just because we really shouldn't! Well yesterday morning(like around 6am) the cat jumped through my window(or someone put her in the window) and I fed her and watered her and groomed her. I was gone all day but left the window open for her. I didn't see her until this afternoon just appearing from under the parked car next to the college dorms. So I picked her up and snucked her into my window lol and fed her and gave her water.

Next week school will be out and I'll be getting an apt. that doesn't accept pets so should I:

Let her loose or give her to the humane society?

Could he just be bloated or fat? Have you had a test done only to find that the cat just eats a lot?

This cat showed no signs of being sick - gets up at 4am to play around the house, eats his food all day including the dog's... then he had a case of diahrea this morning and went on the floor. He may have eaten something he shouldn't have too like part of a dried flower. I hope that this will go away in a few days, he is supposed to get neutered on the 10th.... what should I do?

One of my cat's nipples are bigger than the other nipples & I don't think it's cancer because the nipples isn't red & she doesn't have any signs of having cancer & I don't think she is pregnant because she got fixed so that she couldn't have kittens & it's not any other nipples that are bigger only that one.
(1.) Why does she only have 1 nipple that is bigger than all of the other ones???
(2.) What all do u think is wrong???
(3.) What all should I do???
I don't want to take her to the vet because at the vet that I take her to it costs $50.00 dollars just to take her there.

Hi,
we already have a dog but my friend in selling ragdoll kittens (her cat gave birth) for free! They are oh, so adorable and fluffy and cute and small. AND it's my birth day soon. How do I convince my mother and father to get one?

To put in the nices possible way; They are pretty much useless. Sure they're cute but only when they're babies. They shed, waste money for their food, they don't protect people like dogs do, they just pretty much lay there & do nothing. If you like cats, why is that?

My cat’s kittens are two weeks old, there eyes are open. There mother insists for them to be in my closet. They are in a basket so they can’t get out on there own. The closet is dark even in the daytime with the door open “unless I turn on the light”, and the question is, should I turn on the light to allow the kittens eyes to adjust to light or is it ok too keep them in the dark?

I have 3 cats they are all fixed and get their shots regularly and they seem healthy. However, there is a cat that one of my neighbors moved off and left that I feed. The neighbors that left it come and put food out for it every once in awhile but they are elderly and they don't ever put enough food out for it. It gets in fights all the time with other neighborhood cats and my grandfather said it looked like it had the mange. I don't want my cats to get it too. I don't know what to do. I can barely afford to take my own cats to the vet. I hate to call animal control because the neighbors still own the cat, but I will if It comes down to it. What are the symptoms of mange and can cats get it?
