Charley was fine in the morning. After going outside he came back with one side of his face slightly swollen. Doesn't seem to be causing any discomfort or pain..... Garden snake bite?
Squirll ? He is not in pain and has all his shots. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

My five year old cat (that we have had for a year) just recently decided she wont go in the litter box anymore. She has always been fine with it before until now. There is a piece of carpet by her litterbox and she will just poop and pee there. How can I stop her from doing this and why is she doing this? I'm not sure if theres new litter in there or not. Could it be because she doesnt like the brand of litter were using? I want her to stop doing this because if she continous my parents might make me get rid of her!

This isn't the first time. He eats frogs, lizards, and obviously roaches. Although it keeps the pest away, is it healthy for him to eat them? Also everytime I try to take them away he hisses, scratches me, and sometimes bites me.

Ok, well my Blizzard (thats his name) has been this "retarded" for 5 years and he is six years old. He are his problems: he is part Siemese part somethen else, he has a curled tail, he is crosseyed, he has a very high piched meow, when he wakes up from his sleep he runs around the house trying to sound low piched and drunk, he freaks out about my bunny, and he is a runt. OK, I know these things aren't natural because I have another cat and she is an Egymptian Short hair. Now, my question is, what caused this? Don't tell me this is normal, you most certainly wont get points for that. Why is my cat mental? And putting him asleep is not an answer.

I am wondering what kind of cat breed shows no interest in killing wildlife or wandering away from a fenced in yard. I would love to have a cat that doesn't jump the fence and is content just hanging out in my yard with my dog and me when I'm working in my garden,

I was thinking of adopting a Rag-doll cat from Petfinder.com. Does anyone know if these cats hunt prey or have any suggestions of what would be the best breed? It would be hard to keep a cat indoors since we have a doggie door.

We brought a new baby home 2 days ago from the shelter. She is 1 and a half years old. She has been spayed and is wearing a cone to stop her from licking herself. She is eating and drinking water, purrs snuggles and explores (she is confined to one room right now as we have another kitty who loves to cuddle other cats)... but new kitty has not used her litterbox at all. No messes in the room either. Is this normal? What should we do?

I found a baby kitten this morning. Its eyes are open and it can walk around clumsily. I've started bottle feeding it. What else should I do to help it?

Hi, I just rescued a little kitten from the streets 2 days ago. She had a lot of dried blear on one eye. I took her to the vet, and they gave me an eye antibiotic to put on the eye 3 times a day. I have done that, and the eye is very clean now. But she keeps it half closed most of the time. Have you come across this situation? Will it be OK?

I took my 8 week old kitten to the vet yesterday and the vet said there are no fleas on her (she looked around her fur). But she still applied some medication just in case (she applied Frontline Spray which I now found out by calling the vet back but I spoke to the reception). So last night at about 3 AM I wake up with a flea on my face and a couple in the bed. Also the kitten kept scratching a lot which I first thought had to do with the medication but then we thought it was because of fleas. So we washed all the sheets on our bed and her bed and vacummed EVERYWHERE and then I figured I should give her a bath, which I did with kitty shampoo. The doc hadn't told me about not giving her a bath after the treatment and i didnt know what the treatment was. Now I am looking up Frontline Spray and it says not to bathe after 24 hours. What should I do? We only found 2 fleas on her and 3 in the bed but I am worried. She is not scratching anymore. But does frontline need to be reapplied

A few weeks ago, my cat had either an exacerbation (loose bowels) of her colitis (inflammation of the colon, part of the large intestine) or she had a stomach virus that has worsened the colitis. She was prescribed Flagyl which I believe is an anti-inflammatory as well as an antibiotic (in case she had a bacterial infection as opposed to viral) and while her bowels were bound up a little for a couple days, they would resume to being very loose. Here eyes get real dilated and then sometimes go back to normal size. She had blood work a couple weeks ago which thankfully came back as normal (negative results). We're taking her to a vet that does conventional medicine as well as alternative medicine today but I'm so anxious and worried that I was hoping that someone could shed some light here and offer some input. Thank you so much!

I'm really sad because my cat has fleas and the only time she doesn't scratch is when she's asleep and she just fell asleep. I need something to cheer me up. Any suggestions?

Unlike most animals, my cat sleep on his back, with mouth wide open, and eyes wide open, too. He looks dead, like a poisoned cat, you know.

Is something wrong with him?

My dad is giving away my cat and I say that he can't because a cat is just like a humans body, they have a heart, bones, and a brain. with there heart they care for us, and love us. With there brain, they have feelings for us. Is that true?

I have 4 kittens that are nearly 8wks old. One has really bad diarrhea. No one else shows any symtoms. It is so bad it sort of runs down her legs. She has been dewormed and had her first set of shots. I have no idea what it could be. The diarrhea looks kinda mucousy and is kinda sticky. I know I obviously need to get her to the vet but I can get in with them till friday. Any ideas of what is wrong? and treatment until then??

My cat is pregnant and i cant remember when she was in heat. But she is getting really big and i can feel her kittens moving inside of her. A little while ago i went to check on her and there was a little bit of mucus like fluid on the top of her leg and under the base of her tail . She is an outside cat and i brought her in and every time i open the door she runs back out so i dont know if she may have lost the mucus plug while she was outside or what. I was just wondering what that might mean and if she might have her kittens soon.

I'm pretty sure he's just playing around, but sometimes it gets painful and he won't stop biting on my fingers and clawing at my arms. How can I tell when he's just being playful?
