Sometimes, mostly at night, our cat does this weair thing where her back gets fluffy and she starts jumping towards us sideways! Its hard to describe.... her eyes get really big and she stares at us while doing it! She looks like a demon cat when she does it! Its a bit freaky but funny all the same.

Does anyone elses cat do this??

He seems fine. Acts normal. So I don't think it is a big deal. Just curious on what it is?

My cats (one male and one female) like it when I pet on them while they are on my lap but when I hug them or kiss them (on thier cheeks) they seem to hate it. Do they understand that is affectionate or do they think I'm going to toruture them or something?
Also if you have any advice on how to pet cats or show affection towards them it would be greatly appreciated since I am failing to bond with my new female cat (she has been living with me for 6 weeks and has just turned 1yo)

I got some shampoo from the vet to treat ringworm (2 baths per week) on my kitten (5 months old). She was covered with it... glowed like crazy under the black light. After 3 weeks (in quarantine) it has cleared up everywhere but the tips of her ears and a couple little spots near the edge on the inside of her ears. Instead of continuing the baths on her whole body when she only has it on the ears, can I just use Lamisil spray? It works great on humans but is it safe for cats? Or should I continue with the baths and use the Lamisil on her ears too.

My purebred Persian cat has flees and I need help! We have no other animals and she does not ever go outside so I guess she picked up these fleas when I took her to the vet last Sat. to get her annual shots. She came home covered in fleas. I gave her a bath in cat flea dip ( I asked the vet and he said make sure I got cat flea dip and not dog flea dip it's too strong for cats) so I did trust me bathing a cat is no fun cat's hate water! Yesterday I put down some flea carpet powder on my carpets and I've washed all our sheets (she sleeps with us in our bed), rugs where she lays, pet bedding, etc. Any other suggestions on how to get rid of the left over fleas in my house and to make sure they will not come back? What is everybody thoughts on using the frontline on cats? I just don't want it to be too strong for her she only weighs b/t 5 and 8 lbs. Thanks!

I was petting her and I noticed she has a bald patch on her side. She also has black lumps all over in her left ear! Is this cancer? I love her so much and I don't want her to suffer. I brush her every day and she has special hair ball medecine she takes every other day. I'm wondering if she's allergic to the medecine. I see her scratching the ear with the lumps a lot and I have been doing my best to keep it clean. She got fleas a while back, I have no idea how because she is an indoor cat and has been all her life. She eats Purina adult hair ball formula and drinks plenty of water. I don't know why her hair is falling out! She also has very clean teeth and is generally very healthy. She isn't active and she loves to sleep as well. Please help me!!!

My great girlfriend who I love is taking our cat who I love even more (lol) to the vet to get desexed. She is doing this as she thinks it will settle him down (he bites a lot, 6mnths). And stop him spraying. Are there any other options? Natural remedies like herbs etc? Poor little guy, They are going to cut of his balls! He is an indoor cat so not worried about mating.

The other cat we have is a moggy and doesn't seem to be affected by the fleas. I am using a flea comb on the both twice a day and they have both been treated with the drops for fleas and ticks that go on the back of their necks. However this is not working for my older cat.

Can any one surgest anything I can do to help him. We live in the middle of no where and can't take him to the vets until the rest of the family return. His specail old cat as he is my nan's.

My 7 month old cat had a cold when I got him 3 months ago. Since then he has continued to have coughing/sneezing/retching episodes. He shakes his head as if his ears are uncomfortable and looks like he's going to be sick, but rarely brings anything up, and when he does it's just phlegm. The vet has checked him and dismissed it saying there's no infection / temperature etc, but it still happens most days. He also sounds quite chesty when he's breathing and tends to have runny eyes. Other than that he seems fine, eats well, is playful and affectionate. Thinking of trying to video an 'attack' to show the vet. Any suggestions on how I can help him?

my cat had her kittens yesterday she had a cesarian but all four kittens were born healthy. she has not got any milk so i have to hand rear them and im worried they arent eating enough. it says they should have 150ml a day so im trying to give them 10 ml every 2 hours but they rarely have more than 4ml. is this enough? they stop drinking and move their heads away when they are finished is this because they are full? im so worried im not doing whats best but im also worried if i force feed them they might choke. they are also suckleing off mum but i dont think they are getting any milk yet. she was given and injection to induce milk production but i am not sure if she has any yet. how can i tell? thankyou

I know that cats are sensetive to lactose in the normal milk but I have heard that most cats drink normal milk that human drinks with no problem.

Is that true? Can I give normal full cream milk to my kitten instead of buying special kitten milk which is costly and hard to store?

she came to us asking for food because she was pregnant. She had seven kittens, very pretty, then they were taken away by cat rescue people and left the mother cat with us.
She eventually adopted us but cannot be approached unless she is in her `safe spot,` like her basket, bed or a pile of towels.
She is terried of `feet,` so I assume she has been kicked by some bastard in the past.
Any other solutions?? And how can we cure her? She`s been with us now for 18 months.

Our cat has, over the past 6 months, become increasingly obsessed with drinking water out of the running bathroom faucet. It's gotten so we can't even walk in the general direction of the bathroom without her running and jumping on the sink. We love her, but this is getting really annoying. She has a water bowl that we clean and fill daily, so we can't figure out what is going on. Has anyone else had this problem? What do you suggest we try?
