My 6 week old kitten has a lump inside her stomach and last night she threw up, but i don't know whats wrong with her she has been playing around and eating wet cat food. it doesn't seem to bother her. the lump looks like a round golf ball and when you touch it feels squishy and it moves. I am really worried about her what could it be

could be something she swallowed stuck in her belly. Could be some type of tumor, but as young as the kitten is I doubt it. Most likely a bowel obstruction of some kind. Has your kitten been pooping like normal the last day or two?

Either way I would get the kitty to a vet and have her examined.

There are lots of things this could be, some of them can be fatal to your kitten. Don't take a chance and get her into the vet immediately. The vet will make a determination and a course of action can then be taken. Good luck with kitty!

My cat also had a lump and it turned out that it was a cyst and non-cancerous. But, it could also be some type of cancer, so it's time for a vet visit. Good luck!

From your description, this is not an umbilical hernia. Just to reiterate, take the cat to the vets!

Cat's stomachs are NOT within their ribcage!! It may appear this way on a radiograph, but stomachs are most certainly not located within the thorax.

Whenever your pet is acting strangely or you aren't sure about something (like a lump) it is always best to bring her to the vet.

be sure not to confuse a lump in her stomach with a hernia. The cats stomach is normally within the rib cage, so you would be feel the ribs, not the stomach.

You need to take your kitty to the vet. It could be nothing, but you need to let your vet determine that. If it's something serious you don't want to wait too long.

Talk to the vet. He will diagnose it best, and give you a remedy.
