When she meows she opens her mouth and then she screeches. She only meows when she is in heat, I don't know if this is healthy or not :/

Every time I pet her there is a hard spot where there is a tannish scab, why is she developing scabs? I have other cats and they are fine, all are declawed front and back. I heard that older cats can develop sores but, why? Some of the sores are in places she could not possibly reach, any suggestions? Has this happened to anyone else? THANKS in advance for any help given.... Jean

That my 20 pound cat likes to have his butt smacked really hard? Seriously....... I say "smack bum?" and he comes running and jumps up on the arm of the chair and starts scratching waiting for someone to smack his bum , really really hard! How freakin' weird is that?

Hi im just in need of a little help as im very new to this.I have a 10 month old cat that has been confirmed by the vets that she is pregnant.I am a liilte worried to were she is going to give birth , just to let you all know before you start to reply,my house is very tiny with 3 little children so no cuboard space or under beds as all the space i have in my house is taken up by somthing , i have managed to find a spot in my living area were i have put a box with blankets in (she seems to like it as she goes there quite alot ,and just to let you know my cat was not the kind of cat that sleeps in beds and baskets as have tried this since she was 8 weeks old) but with having 3 little children it can get noisy at times, im am very worried that she will find a spot in my back garden somewhere and i will not know if she had them or not , and what if something happens were i need to take her to the vets asap and i wasnt there to help,(and should i still be letting her out as much) ,thanks.

I know its probably a dumb question but I have a 6 to 7 month old nonspayed female cat who keeps meowing all through the house especially at night. So at what age do they go into heat? And is it about the same time that male cats go into heat as well?

Well...my poor kitty is at the vet today they'll be keeping him through the weekend. He has becomed blocked...
He was being treated through the week already for a UTI and was already on antibiotics.
I took him to the vet tuesday, because he was LEAKING urine. They did a urinalisis and there were no crystals...but lots of blood and protien. They put him on antibioticsd and another drug that is suppose to strength his bladder.

I thought he was getting better, until this morning when he was CONSTENTLY straining to urinate and began drooling PROFUSLEY.

Heres my question....
He's been on 'Wellness' grain free can food, and 'Felidae'
although I stopped giving the dry food this week...
NOW I KNOWthe vet is gonna recommend putting him on one of their prescription diets...Science diet or Royal canin....

So in this situation what would you do?(knowing how crappy those foods are?)
Please, only answer if you really understand this situation with the catfood comparison....thank you!

I heard a meowing cat in a trash bag at the park- it was a voulenteer cleanup thing- in side was a kitten wrapped in plastic! It keeps crying and is so small, like the size of an adult's hand. i have no clue how or what to feed it. it looks like a russian blue. it is very skinny. I also have 3 dogs and a new puppy so i have to be careful. I also have a 14 year old black cat girl. Should i let her mother it? How should i take care of the kitten?

A woman up the street from me ran over my cat. We had to take him to the vet to be put down. I went over to her house to ask for $43 to cover the vet costs and she told me that she was so sorry for my loss, but "Your homeowners insurance will cover it." Then she told me she's run over other cats and killed them. How should I deal with her and get the money back?

I have two orphan kittens approx. 4 weeks old I have taken in. I took them to the vet today for a checkup and a deworming. I am curious as to what if any side effects there are in giving a kitten this type of dewormer? One kitten is doing fine and the other is not wanting to eat and will not stop crying! I called and talked to the emergency vet's office in town and they gave me a bit of a "don't care" attitude and was more worried about telling me how much the fees for bringing the kitten in instead of trying to help....
