I'm really sad because my cat has fleas and the only time she doesn't scratch is when she's asleep and she just fell asleep. I need something to cheer me up. Any suggestions?

A nice bowl milk, and a back rub. Old fashioned, but still in style ;)

There are many, many ways to help your cat. The best is to bring her to a vet and follow his advice. There is NO reason for her to suffer this way. Buy some Advantage or Frontline or Revolution or a flea collar or a flea comb or flea shampoo -- ANYTHING to help the poor kitty!

Fleas can cause illness and DISTRESS. Make no mistake, your cat is MISERABLE. Helping her will help YOU feel better too -- so go HELP her!

i know how you feel.
my dog used to have fleas REALLLY bad. (just like a week ago, actually)
buy some Raid flea spray. spray it on the carpet, couch, and beds.
ask your vet if they have a pill that you can give your cat that will kill the fleas on her.
my vet gave me some. im not sure if they have some for cats, but they should. its a really small, white pill. put it in a treat, or a glob of wet food and feed it to her. it will kill the fleas on her once it kicks in. (medicine in the pill goes out to the skin) give one to her every other day to keep the fleas off. one pill costs 3 something. but beleive me, its SO worth it. :)

Go to the pet store and buy some flea medicine. Try Advantage. Get the cat off your furniture because flea dung stains.

I wrote this poem on this site so go to the search for question space & put in the words They are daning in heaven tonight.....6 months is not a long time but everyone dies & if you can believe he just left his body it might help. I had a near death experience when I was 10 & it was more peaceful than anything I ever experienced since them. You just have to work through it. 10 years ago today my son was missing & still I think about it & those weeks before I found out he died. Do something to bring your energy to a higher level. I coach people & I can help you but this site alone isn't going to be able to do much for you. So if you want start coaching you could talk to me once a week & start letting go of your pain. I was in so much pain that it manifested physically & I was on meds. I went off of them 2 years ago thanks to a technique I learned to use. I think coaching would help you feel better & to heal cause only you are going to change. Nothing outside of you will change. You can learn how to be more peacefully & happy with your life still completely doing whatever it is that helps you feel connected to your father.

You should give the cat a bath. Although, that won't make you feel better. Unless you feel great benefit from the inner satisfaction of helping another living thing.

Yeah.. or just go on YouTube and watch some stand-up or something.. YouTube works.

=)

Have you given your cat any flea treatments? If it's a kitten and too young for the flea shampoo, use dawn dishsoap... It's safe for kittens and it helps with the fleas...

i think i have some advice!
you see, i have cats and i love them all horribly =)
i would buy her some medicine and take her to the
vet and see if the veternarian prescribes anything
for you kitty. Or you could just let your cat sleep as
longgg as possible. statistics say that cats sleep 22
hours a day..but i don't really believe that. but i would really go with the vet idea =D
i hope i help a leetle bit
i wish you the best!

Poor cat. You need to take her to the vet so they can prescribe something for the itchiness ASAP. And buy her some advantage or frontline!
