My dad is giving away my cat and I say that he can't because a cat is just like a humans body, they have a heart, bones, and a brain. with there heart they care for us, and love us. With there brain, they have feelings for us. Is that true?

I agree with the first answer, but I have annother suggestion, too. I had a kitten (now a well-behaved 2-year-old) who absolutely refused to use the kitty-box for the l-o-n-g-e-s-t time. Finally, I asked our vet for suggestions and she gave me some stuff to sprinkle into the clean kitty litter. There is something about the smell that attracts cats to use the box. Beg your dad to ask the vet about this product. Our vet said it would work, and it did!
And, by the way, I agree with you that most cats love their people.

The problem is that the cat is probably peeing all over your house and that can cause a stinky problem (ruins carpet). The only thing I can think of is that maybe you need to clean the litter box more often, like some cats want it at least scooped several times a day. Many time a cat will pee outside a dirty box. Try to discuss this with your Dad and see if he might give the cat another week or so while you strive to keep the box clean. Some cats just like to pee where ever they want and you can't blame your Dad if that's the case.

I think your dad should take the cat to a vet. Peeing outside of the litterbox is usually a sign of illness or a behavioral problem. Is the litter box being cleaned on a daily basis? Pets are a big responsibility and they need to be taken care of. Cats are living beings that have feelings like humans and other animals do. Please consider this before giving your cat away.

First, if your dad did not neuter your cat, then he is responsible for your cat peeing. If your cat is neutered, then he may have a health issue. Instead of being cruel and teaching you abandonment, he should take the cat to the vet! Your dad sounds like an irresponsible moron! It is a shame people like your dad are allowed to have kids, or pets. Would he give you away if you had a small problem?
Tell your dad that it is irresponsible to give up this pet, and yes, mean, becuase you are his family. Take him and get him fixed, and then ask the vet about the peeing to make sure there is no health issue. Good luck! I hope your dad grows up!

before everything, has your cat been fastened? If she hasn't, she may be smelling issues that make her desire to pee on them, truly adult men. I actually have a neutered male cat that is going ga-ga over grimy undies - he rolls and rubs on it like it truly is catnip, yet luckily that's as far as he is going! If she is spayed, then at her age there's a real hazard she might have a bladder an infection and can't help herself, so the 1st element you're able to do is get her looked at to verify wellbeing isn't an argument. make valuable her clutter container is sparkling and he or she has sparkling water. tell your dopey brothers (and pa) to maintain their outfits, towels and kit off the floor so the cat won't pee on them. It ain't rocket technological information - if the stuff isn't there in the 1st place she would have the ability to't pee on them, can she! provide the furnishings a stable cleansing and use lots of the cat enzyme sprays to erase any odors. you may additionally turn the cushions to boot. you will possibly attempt containing her in a smaller area for a whilst so she has no selection yet to apply the clutter container, or on your room on account that she's your cat. i might desire your loved ones is considerate adequate of your thoughts to paintings with you in this. If she is going to the pound she would have the ability to probable be positioned to sleep simply by fact no person is going to wish a cat that has clutter container subject concerns.

Yes. Your cat loves you just as much as you love it. It is very close to human. Cat even have the vocal cords to talk. They just do not have the knowledge of how to do it. If your cat is peeing in places that it should not, your cat probably needs to be fixed. A cat that has not been neutered or spayed will mark it's territory to let others know that they are available. You could keep your cat in a small room (like your bedroom) with food, water, and litter box to re-teach him to pee in litter box, but if you do not get it fixed, it will still mark. Also. You need to buy some cleaner for the urine that has live enzymes in it to get rid of the pee in places that he marked. You have to leave the cleaner wet, so you need to do it pretty soon to make sure that you get rid of the smell quickly. Walmart sell (pet stain and odor remover) for a very low price. Please do not let your dad get rid of your cat. Your cat will cry and mourn you very much. My mom did that to me once. I was out of town and she was taking care of my cat (I was only gone for 4 days) when I came home my cat was gone. I was just a kid and I have never forgiven her for getting rid of him.

The most common reason a cat pees outside it's designated area is due to a urinary tract problem. Before your dad gives it up he should take it to the vet to check it for an urinary tract infection. If a cat doesn't have feelings then they sure have me fooled.

it could be due to various reasons
1st-was it box trained if not than just work with him itll take time he'll get it
2nd he could have a urinary infection u might want to take him to the vet and talk to them about your problem
3rd if he is not fixed male cats tend to spray which is very much like urine
4th he could be a very excitable cat he might need valuum or some other medication either way i would reccomend taking him to the vet so you can give him more of a chance than just giving him away!

It isn't a nice thing to have to do, however, it is your parent's place. If your cat is older the bond that she/he has with your family are stronger than a kitten. It will be difficult but if you can find a loving home for it then things will be okay. They do have feelings and personalities. Could a visit to the vet help the problem?
