Cats behave in this weirdo bizarro way, (unbeknownst to most people but I will grace you with my acute perceptual ability) -- because they are sending telepathic signals to the dark side of the moon, where the Cat God resides. This only happens when a cat is placed in a home where they cannot send subtle telepathic signals to their 'owner' -- thereby influencing everything that happens on the planet, in the universe in fact. Usually cats need direction when the owner's IQ dips into single digits. I'm sorry to tell you this.

My cat does this too! Very strange. My cat will all of sudden get away from mattress contained in the midst of the night and stalk as much as the wall and sit down there completely nevertheless gazing "his spot". i do no longer difficulty to check out anymore however. The few cases I did i could consistently detect a gnat or lint. no longer sufficient to destroy my sleep over. If I have been you, i could only anticipate that there is something there which you in ordinary terms have not observed. Our kitties only have super eye sight!

This is totally normal for a cat. Different cats have different sleeping positions, much like humans have different sleeping positions. I had a cat that slept exactly like you had mentioned. When I would go to bed at night, he would curl up in my armpit and lay on his back and beg for his belly to be rubbed... then he would fall asleep like that.
Dont think of it as weird... think of it as a natural thing. Your cat is sleeping in a "comfortable" position to him, whether it looks like that or not :)

No my cat sleeps in all kinds of positions from upside down to pulled her back legs forward with her front and laying her head on her back leg tips to stretching way out like she was floating on water.
People don't realize some of the funny positions they get in when they sleep, either.

Nah he is a cat after all. Cats like to do wierd things like this to keep us humans guessing. Nothing to worry about, next time he does this just give his belly a little rub and wake him up.

ROFLMAO! Nothing's wrong with him. He's just being a cat. If you try to understand what a cat is thinking, you'll lose your ever loving mind.

No of course not......
One of my cats sometimes sleeps on her back, on the balcony rail, with legs and head hanging down over the sides.
How she keeps her balance I have no idea, but she's never fallen off yet.............
