Egyptian female names:
The ones I liked best I marked with an asterisk*. I tried to just keep the short ones. I had a cat once with a four syllable name and I don't think she ever did learn it.

*Aziza = Precious (this one is probably my favorite)
*Dalila = Gentle
*Eshe = Life (second favorite)
Femi = Love
Habiba = Loved
Jamila = Beauty
*Khepri = Morning Sun
Mandisa = Sweet
*Panya = Mouse
Ramla = Prophetess
*Safiya = Pure
Sagira = Little One
*Sanura = Kitten (third favorite)
Thema = Queen
*Zhara = Flower

It helps if you say what sex it is, but I had a cat named Dorian, and he was a cool kitty.

Mr. Bingle is a good one too, but that's just my opinion.

Hope it's a male or my names won't work.

You could call it Mouse, or Rabbit if you wanted to give it an identity crisis. I love that.

Well if you want egyptian names:
How about Bast: Egyptian cat goddess
But if you want a huge list of names and what they represented go to:

Try to find one that ends with teh letter i. Cats normally respond to high pitched tones better

I like roman names like flavius, augustus, agrippa, marcus, etc. I think it's cool for a cat to be named after a roman emperor.

I think one of the best cat names I ever heard was "Mousy Tongue".

This was back in the Sixties, when everyone knew who Mao Tzedong was, but it might not seem as clever now.

I had a female calico and named her Meow. I also had a male **** cat and named him Lickerish, which means fond of good food.
