They are sisters and both gave birth yesterday and today. Underneath my bed. I can't see the kittens to check on them but do not want to disturb the mothers so haven't tried to physically touch any of them. How long should I let them just stay under the bed? I have food and water in the bedroom for the mothers. I didn't even know they were pregnant and yes i know they need to be spayed and I will be doing that as soon as they can be but for now I am needing help with this situation. Any suggestions? They previously tore the mesh from my boxspring and they are laying on the mesh but two sides of it is still attached so I can't see much of anything.

My cat "Diva" is a boy cat who lived with me and no other animals. In August of 2005 I moved in with my partner and his cat and dog. Diva is very friendly and took to them the very first day with no problem. The dog passed away and now it's just the two cats. Diva constantly pee's on the throw rugs and won't stop! Why is this. We have 2 cat boxes. 1 inside the home and 1 in the garage where they were at all day during our remodeling. They are indoor cats. Please help me find a cat whisperer.

My cat suddenly got really sick. She is 16 years old and I love her like part of the family. I took her to the vet and they are going to keep her for a couple of days and see if they can get her back to healthy. They told me that her kidneys are shutting down and she is very dehydrated and has ulcers in her mouth. She has a chance of surviving and the kidney damage can be reversed. Would you go through all of this at a chance that she will survive or would you have just had her put to sleep.? Keep in mind that she is my baby and they said there is a chance that she can pull through.

It seems strange to me that people have such incredibly mundane existences that they post questions in the cat section that describe plans of animal cruelty to piss people off. Don't even respond to these people. They're trying to get a rise out of you. They have nothing better to do with their time. They'll find someone else to harass, or by the grace of god find something productive to do, if you don't give them the reaction they're looking for.

We have one cat now, and we would like to get a kitten also. I have two opportunities to get a kitten. We really want a kitten, so we can raise them from a baby. We can either get a 6/7 wk old orange male kitten available to us through my sisters inlaws. These kittens will be ready in a week or two. They havent been kept very close track off, been in closed in barn, w/their mother, and only visited on ocassion, but are litter box trained.
The other kitten comes from someone in the Craigslist community, is a little black 9 wk old girl kitten, the last of the litter, is box trained and very well socialized living in a house w/its mom and people, (adults and kids).
I'm leaning towards the black kitten, as it has been better socialized. Any advice woudl be great

How do I feed my outdoor cat without other cats, dogs, rodents, etc. coming around and being drawn to the food? I live outside of the city limits where neighborhood animals are free to roam. I don't have a problem with them now, but I'm afraid I will once I start putting cat food out. Please help with any suggestions. Thanks!

I have a cat who's had two litters of kittens. She carried the first set off when they were around two months old... the second set of kittens are getting about the same age. Is there a way to prevent her from running off with them? And is the carrying off because the little was so large or because it was her first little? The first little had seven kittens and this one has only four.

When i checked it out, the black scab came off with red spots underneath, next day it's black again. She's indoor and i brush her regularly, so must be recent. I've got an appointment with a vet, just wanted to know if anyone has had a similar experience.

Our cat is extremely old and is becoming miserable for various reasons. His heath is not going to ever improve – just keep getting worse. Most people would probably take him to the vet to be put down. Our cat HATES getting in the car and hates the veterinarian's office. It's all a traumatic ordeal whenever we take him there. We would hate to see him "go out that way." We would rather have him die peacefully at home, but not go through a long drawn-out process of dying naturally. I'm not interested in mere guess work. I'd like to hear from someone who has actually had experience with this sort of situation and/or enough medical training to say exactly what some good options are. Maybe something we could feed him, or a shot we could give him at home?

Okay, my kitty loves to catch mice. I love to rescue cute little animals. When he brings them in- still alove, I try to set them free but they come back inside within minutes and he gets them again.
Well, a few times he brought them to me dead. More an more often, I'm asuming he takes them away to play with them lately because I keep taking them away and throwing them outside.

Last night I placed him in the tub (easy to clean and it's where I always save the mice because they can't escape and I can catch them later tossing them outside) and atempted to rescue his latest catch but it was already dead. Out of curiosity I let him play with it (in the tub still, no mouse blood on my carpet!!) to see what he would do. Well, after five minutes he tried eating it. I tossed it out.
Now, I am wondering is it okay to let my cat eat the mouse. I'm worried about the parasites mice might carry. I know my cat licks his own bum and all but still. Would it be bad/unhealthy to let him eat mice???

My 18-year-old cat meows ALL the time!! He usually wakes me up several times a night, meowing and trying to snuggle me...which is fine, but even when I give him attention he just keeps meowing! Very loudly, too! Is it safe to give him a calming agent that I bought at Petco? I'm just worried because of his advanced age.
